I firmly believe the best way to turn a great day into a purrfect one is to spend some time with criminally cute cats. No offense to all you doggos out there (believe me, I love you all, too), but cats are awesome.

No matter what a cat does - whether it’s sitting in a box or stretching - it remains photogenic. Maybe it's the catnip, I don't know. The point is, they can't take a bad cat photo. Whether they're pooping in the litter box or munching on a mouse they just caught, their expression is spot-on. Some felines seem far too serious, others look cuter than Puss in Boots, while still others make us laugh with their playful antics. It’s no wonder that the Internet is filled to the brim with funny posts showing off the passion for silly cats.
Whether cats are mega chonkers or kitty cats that like to dance dance dance, I think we can agree that we adore them all equally and would gladly bring them back home to live with us.
In the United States, more households have puppers than mousers. However, more cats are kept as pets. Ruff-ly 70 million dogs and 75 million cats live in the US. Meanwhile, global feline population estimates vary wildly because of the millions and millions of feral cats that roam free. They have absolutely no intention of staying still long enough to take part in a survey. Overall, an estimated 220 to 600 million cats live on planet Earth.

A tabby’s life can seem like a never-ending holiday, what with the amount of time they spend napping between meals. Cats truly are notorious sleepy-heads. They snooze 12 to 16 hours every single day. Meanwhile, older cats sleep even more, sometimes for up to 20 hours a day! That’s bound to turn anyone green with envy.

Here’s a fun fact for all you Harry Potter and Crookshanks fans out there: hairballs that cats regurgitate are called trichobezoars. Unfortunately, unlike in the Wizarding World universe, real-life bezoars don’t work as antidotes to poison and will make you ill. Don’t eat them.
That's how I knew my (rescued) cat, chose her new (rescued) cat best friend. Fostered 20 kittens to find my first. Fostered another 45 for her to find her first. Years later - I have my first on my lap, and her first, on my desk. Both bugging me in the loveliest way possible while I try to 'study'.
That's sweet...my cats tolerate to hate the kitten I rescued last month. The only animal that adores him is my huge Lab/Shepherd mix mainly because he plays with her instead of running away and she's so careful with him. My chihuahua, Rocco, doesn't like him because he takes attention away from him and because Hobbes is always pouncing on him.
When I first brought Biscuits home, she was the runt and very small, though you'd never believe it going by her personality. Scooty immediately adopted her as HER kitten...that is until Biscuits grew bigger than her and would chase her around wanting to play. Now Biscuits is around 2.5 years old and they are friends again.
That poor wee kitten is way too young to be seperated from her mom. Thank god, the big cat has adopted her.

My dad is mad cause I keep taking pictures of cats during our stay in Poland... They're everywhere... and I feel happy...
I talk to every cat, england or poland. We go to see my dad in poland and go to the seaside- bet you I bother every cat. My dad and my husband just gave up and roll with it. It's gonna happen anyway lol

I pat a cat for the first time in over 20 years this weekend. Went away with the family to a farm and there was a cat that seemed to like our cabin and would sit outside all the time. He would also try and get inside the cabin but he isn’t allowed and I am allergic to cats. He was a gorgeous looking cat and had such a beautiful temperament. I was umming and ahhing on whether I should risk patting him. I couldn’t resist I gave him a little pat then ran to the kitchen to wash my hands thoroughly. I usually don’t see myself as a cat person for a few reasons and that is because of my allergies, and it also pisses me off when I see cats roaming, cats coming into my yard and dig up the garden to s**t, they kill wildlife and leave half eaten corpses around etc. Bit the fact is the cats are doing what comes naturally to them. The problem isn’t the cats, the problem is the owners. My judgement of cats themselves is misguided.
*Feral* cats in Australia are a huge problem. They have and are devastating wildlife. I have taken "stray" cats in for TNR. before that became a thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wF_omFE7Etc <<<<

I would love to get a cat, but unfortunately my sister is highly allergic to them, so if I got one, she couldn't come over to visit and since cat hair gets stuck to, like, everything, I couldn't go over to visit her, either. And as much as I love cats, I love my sister more
