Getting caught in the rain when you’re walking home from school is pretty annoying, but at least you can dry yourself afterwards. But what about your school books? They don’t dry so easily, and when they do their pages are generally warped and curled forever afterwards. But did you know that there’s a cheap and simple trick to fix your soggy notebooks? No? Well, neither did we until we found this awesome life hack from Jaluka Nohana, a Japanese artist, author, and illustrator.
All you have to do is place loose pieces of white toilet paper in-between the wet pages and then put something heavy (like a stack of books) on top. Keep replacing the toilet paper until it soaks up all the water and voila! Your notebook is ready to use again.

Replace the toilet paper with paper towels for a better result... Happened to me quite a few times when I was studying...
Load More Replies...I used to put a HEAVY object (like a BIGGER book) on top of the wet one, and it did almost the same thing. Saves from going page to page with strips of tp.
please stop calling these things 'hacks'. Us old people (I am 40) know these things
And us teenagers never got it from you old people so its a hack to us. Its your fault actually
Load More Replies...That's an awful lot of toilet paper being invested in this operation.
Why? You can re-use it on your next toilet visits. 😉
Load More Replies...1. This is not a 'hack', it's just something you do to somehow repair a wet book. (Seriously, who doesn't know this?) 2, afterwards the book will still look a bit damaged and not like the brandnew one in the picture.
Why does Japanese toilet paper look more like regular paper? :) ouchy for tushy?
I think the sheet there is just non-textured one-ply paper. Also, are you familiar with bidets? Those are really popular in Japan, so I'm guessing there's less demand for very luxurious toilet paper.

tried this once. Gave up and just used the doused book as asswipe. I saved a tree. You're welcome.... :)
For people that believe beautiful trees are being cut for toilet tissue rest assured, pulp wood is grown for these items. They do not use oak, cherry, walnut just pulp wood which is pine and is grown on huge plantations just for tissue, toilet paper, etc... Just hug the trees that are endangered by emerald ash borer, oak blight, elm blight, etc...

Ah yes, ..... however, it would make big difference as to the quality of loo paper used. Just saying.
or you can buy one for $0.50 at the dollar store and recycle the damp one
