It’s surely amazing to run into someone that you personally know, but what about running into someone that everyone knows? Well, it surely will be something memorable, and hopefully it went smoothly, because if it was awkward, then it calls for a share with folks online.

Chuck Wending on Twitter, @ChuckWending, decided to ask people to share their weirdest celebrity encounters ever. With over 5k likes, the tweet contained famous people of all calibers: Ice-T, John Waters, Hulk, Sting and others. And it seems that any public spaces such as lifts, airports, Disneyland and bars are the perfect setting for those meetings to happen. Enjoy these serendipitous encounter stories that were quite random and a little bit awkward and vote for your favorite ones.

In those long bygone days he realized he was mistaken, and stopped waving. More recent Trump insists that it was for him and will keep repeating it.

You can find similar enjoyment in watching him and his super-classy wife getting booed at the World Series last year. You can actually see the moment he realizes that people aren't cheering, THEY HATE HIM. If it was anyone but this criminal, you'd almost feel sorry for him.

And to this day Trump is still adamant in the belief that the cheering really was for him . . . "the people in Chicago love me, Bigly" I got a standing ovation for just being at Wrigley Fireld. Great town, great town."

Never ask a narcissistic a-hole like Donald that question. He would wonder "why WOULDN'T they be cheering for him?!"

Before Donald Trump became president and back when 50 cent was decent, he (50) made a song called 21 questions. In the song he says “I love you like a fat kid loves cake” so to be more creative I told my at the time bf “I love you like Donald Trump loves money” 😂

I don't think he realized it. I bet in his mind he is still thinking that those people were really cheering for him.

Ugh, typical...a pastry chef old friend made a bday cake for his ex Maples and the atmosphere was just lackluster. I blame him.

When I lived in NJ, I went to Trump Tower with my young daughter, I met him and he was very pleasant and chatted for a while (was in 1990 so a while ago)

Everyone on here being so judgmental like you've never waved back to someone waving to a person behind you. That would absolutely be me if I were famous. I'm too socially clumsy to be in the public eye. That could have been any of us.

I once shook hands with Bobby Kennedy—he was on his last swing through California and stopped at the San Jose (then) Municipal Airport. He was assassinated three days later.

I like that Neil Gaiman is on this thread twice, as both the celebrity and the encounter-er haha
