I Take Weird Wedding Photos And Clients Love Them (18 Pics)
When I started in the wedding industry, I was told that I had to shoot traditional wedding photos to be successful. For a long time, I shot the way others wanted me to shoot, and I struggled. Then I decided to shoot what made me happy - weird surrealist and minimalist images - and I found success.
There will always be a compromise between art and expectation, a balance that needs to be struck. And wedding days can sometimes be constraining. But it's not an impossible juggling act. And as much risk, as there is in doing things differently, there is more risk in doing nothing at all.
Success follows passion, and creativity will always be compelling.

These pictures don't look weird to me at all. They look a like the couple stood together no matter what. No matter what life can bring, either good or bad, majestic or simple, happy or sad, average or mystical, they just are. They're beautiful and quite frankly, breathtaking. Keep up the good job.
These are all artistically stunning & beautiful photos.. Great work!
I like the photos, but I don't think they're good wedding photos. I think they look like tourism photos and you can barely see the people in the most of the shots. I think you're forgetting the point of wedding photography: to document someone's wedding so they can look back and remember it. These are contrived in the extreme, and don't at all capture the emotion of a wedding. Too much of your own ego in these photos I think. But as photos for a tourism campaign they'd be fine.
Van my man, you are insane. These are not only not weird, these are the most magnificent weddings snaps I have seen. EVER. What Hans Zimmer is to movie scoring, you are to wedding photography.
Too much scenery, too little people. You can not recognize the bride and the groom.
All of them are much better than an average wedding photoshoot. Hope those marriages last ;)
Not sure I'd call these weird, but whatever you call them, they are stunning!!!
Weird? No, they're literally imaginative and amazing! I would pay any amount for this type of photography, not just weddings!
They are beautiful but you can't see their faces, I'm sure there are some where it's closer. Very artistic!
Amazing eye, view and perspective to share with us because even if you tried to duplicate it them you couldn't replicate them. Love your gift and even more so that couples are able to live through your talent.
These are nice photos of landscapes and reflections and stuff but I wouldn't call them "weird"
