Actually I have found seeds sprouting inside several good, firm tomatoes this summer. Looked so gross couldn't eat. Why is this happening because I really like tomatoes.
Where do people find these things? I would have thought a tomato would be rotten before it's seeds germinated.
Some tomatoes are stored in high nitrogen, low oxygen, to keep them fresh longer (upwards of 6 weeks!). There's a lot of debate on the "freshness" part. Anyway, if the mix and/or timing is off they can sprout. The fruit "thinks" its in the right conditions for germination and off it goes!

This could be a good thing for gardeners since you do not need to wait for the seeds to germinate. On the other hand, if these are GMO's they need to be destroyed so they will never create new plants. Do not just throw them in the garbage where they will be dumped in a landfill and start growing and reproducing . Think about it.
They look a little too much like worms for my taste. Guess I've never kept one around long enough to sprout.

What's creepy about this? It's just nature doing its job. The longer we stay inside four walls and spend time on our phones the faster nature will start feeling weird to us till such time we have lost all connect with our roots. It's sad.
What is there to be frightened of just plant them in the garden growbag or allotment have fresh veggies in a few weeks that's what I do all the time have lovely apple trees pear trees plum trees cherry trees lovely fresh veg gro wing all year round don't waste it grow it save tons of money in the long run
I think people who are finding this disturbing are experiencing Trypophobia Or something similar to it. I don't think about not knowing where food comes from. It is sort of like a visual version of Autonomous sensory meridian response. These responses can be very common.

What freaks me out the most is how NONE of these self starters have a single spot of decay on them. Yes the seeds sprout from the fruit ALL THE TIME, BUT what is triggering the seeds to sprout before the right time? And in temperatures well below normal?

It's so weird how vegetables come from plants and propagate like plants do. Those seeds sprouting plants of the same variety as the fruit they came from is spooky as hell too. Gimme a f*****g break.
Dude, leave any kind of plant alone long enough and it starts to progress in life. Artichokes and other bud/leaf plants start to bloom, fruit seeds start sprouting (normally the fruit would fall, get slightly broken and buried, then seeds would grow as it rots), tubers and root veggies start growing new stalks and roots, and nuts and seeds begin to germinate. This is not terrifying, it is natural and something you can take advantage of to grow more food.

SO many people screaming "GMOs!" because apparently they don't know that this is perfectly natural. Besides, there's no such thing as non-GMOs as we've been genetically modifying food since we first learned to farm. Field or lab it's all the same. It's just in a lab it's more predictable. In fact, WE are all GMOs. So the thing you fear is exactly what you are!
The "scary" part is why are fresh, ripe, non-bruised, healthy produce sprouting inside itself? The point of seeds sprouting after the produce rots is how nature makes sure the plant grows during warm rainy seasons, not right after it ripens because it will die in the cold dry winter.

#16 is almost certainly a fake. Most of the rest are likely "organic" produce that hasn't been irradiated to prevent germination - but I'm a bit skeptical about the cabbages, to be honest. As for the potatoes, who hasn't had that happen? Onions too.

Things like this do not happen naturally. These plants are probably genetically modified to reproduce much earlier than they are supposed to. So yes, it's terrifying to think we are eating GMO plants that can begin sprouting inside of us if improperly ingested.
Those tomatoes are not natural. The first thing that came to mind was Monsanto GMO.
