New windows are made of glass floated on a pool of molten tin, which makes very flat panes without any annoying bullseyes.
EDIT: this is also the source of the myth that glass is a liquid and flows over time. See the center pane of your picture? Someone took the time to get a "good" pane for the center of the window, without any bullseye - put your best pane in that spot, obviously. But the glass is still of uneven thickness, getting thicker closer to the bullseye. So people look at panes like that, with thicker glass in one part, and decide that "hey, the glass must have started off perfectly flat and flowed over time". But no. The glass flowed when it was molten (1500 degrees C!) and does not flow at room temperature.

Haha, my grandma hated them (they ate her salats and vegetables in the garden), but she wanted them to die peacefully, so she put cups filled with beer in the ground. They drank the beer and drowned in it. Other people kill them with salt or cut through them....nasty.

In Denmark we call them "Killer Snails", because they kill a lot of our harvesting and Garden vegetables
No, the killer snails are brown. The red and black ones are harmless and not and invasive species like the killer snails. Their real name is Iberian Wood snail, they are from Southern Europe and didn't exist in Denmark before the 1990s, when we were "invaded" by them. These red ones are native and good guys :)

Yeah saw it often when picking chestnuts in forests in France when I was little. I loved chestnuts and picking it up whith gloves not to be hurt by its "quills" (I don't know if that's the right word ^^) was fun but I would have tears in my eyes when seeing them or almost stepping on it :')

Yes I know it because my grandfather was a slave to a British officer and this was his daily job at the British Architect's office in Indian railways. But inspite of being a slave my grandfather was treated nicely and after independence he even got a job in Indian Railways..which eventually my father got because my grandfather died on job...
