I have a philosophical question for you: if someone enjoys a meal that everyone else finds horrid, do they prove that taste is subjective? Or do they achieve the opposite and show that it exists within certain boundaries? Whatever your initial answer is, hold on to it until you finish scrolling through this list. Believe me, it might change.

To show you that some stomachs have no limits, we at Bored Panda put together a collection of the weirdest food combinations we could find. We're talking bacon-wrapped Oreos, hard-boiled eggs with Nutella, and... I can't go on, sorry, I just had breakfast. You'll have to scroll down and check out everything for yourself. If you have the guts, of course. Just don't tell Gordon Ramsay about these photos — he'd probably stab these "chefs" with a fork.

If you don't want your dishes to end up in a similar list, there are some easy tips that can improve your cooking skills straight away.

According to Fine Cooking, the first thing you can do is rethink the way you use your chef's knife, "for better control, choke up on the handle to the point of putting your thumb and the side of your index finger onto the side of the blade right above the handle. Speaking of chef’s knives, invest in a good one (and keep it sharp). The longer, wider blade of a chef’s knife will give you speed, control, and confidence," the magazine wrote.

Next, start your dishes with the best ingredients you can get. For example, imported Parmigiano-Reggiano is way better than domestic parmesan. In fact, you can hardly compare the two. Or if you're baking a cake, premium chocolate makes all the difference and fresh homemade breadcrumbs are superior to packaged crumbs by miles. You get the idea.

Now that you've got the good stuff, use your hands. "Hands are extremely sensitive and sophisticated cooking tools," the experts said. "You can develop this sense of touch by paying attention to how different foods feel at different degrees of doneness, even as you’re checking them with a thermometer, a toothpick, or a knife. Meat, for example, goes from being very soft when it’s rare to quite firm when well done. Touch can also indicate when a cake is baked, if the dough is kneaded enough, and whether a pear is ripe."

A great way to instantly elevate your dishes to another level is by switching to kosher or sea salt. Kosher salt and sea salt have a much, much better flavor than ordinary table salt. Though food shouldn’t taste salty, falling on the other side of the spectrum and using little or no salt makes food boring.

Also, pick recipes that use descriptive words. Like, "bake until golden brown" or "boil until reduced by half." Don’t freak out if the actual amount of time it takes to reach the desired state is more or less than the time suggested in the recipe.

Cooking is a never-ending journey, full of ups and downs. Focus on the journey, not the setbacks. Take everything as a learning experience, apply yourself, and always. taste. throughout. the. process.

They are very satisfying. Very healthful, will make your coat nice and shiny. Now, this sounds weird, but they go well with peanut butter. I know. It sounds gross. Most folks can’t get past the sardines.

Gotta add moisture somehow when you overcook it that badly, I guess

Not sure what is worse, the condition of the semi-grey steak or seeing catsup on bananas.

I used to wrap a lady finger banana with a slice of chicken roll (like bologna, but made of chicken and tastes like chicken). The combo of sweet and salty was so good.

Okay the ketchup could go, but meat and plantains is common in alotta places. Dont see why this would be much different

don;t overcook the steak, change that from ketchup to Sriracha sauce and chuck the banana, and maybe it would be good?

Honestly tho... I had awards for sports in my freshman year of highschool, and they served REALLY BAD coffee. So I literally put 3 of the little creamer things, 2 packets of sugar, and 4 hershey's kisses in it. (and the creamer was like peppermint mocha or something delicious). Anyone else put a lot of stuff in their coffee? (another thing I love to do is to make black coffee, but dump a bunch of Swiss Miss instant hot chocolate powder in it. It's SOOOO good; would definitely recommend trying)

NO. Also, if you're putting ketchup on steak the meat is trash and you shouldn't be consuming it anyhow. Also, poor banana.

Ketchup on steak if it's overdone and dry and you absolutely have to eat it, is okay. But what the f**k is up with the bananas?

Doesn’t look like steak to me. Maybe a meatloaf which ketchup would be good on.
