I went to Costa Rica maybe 15 years or so ago, and realized I didn't now the Spanish word for "Okay". I was struggling to find a different way to respond. The person I was talking to realized I wanted to say "okay". They said in Spanish that it was okay and I could just say, "okay". So I said, "Okay". Then I had to say "okay" again to the first thing.
Soon to be the way over used *this* .. whenever someone agrees with anything.
I didn't know about 'this' until I saw it on BP. Nor had I seen * used as people do on here. We use inverted commas.

It is real; it's caused by your sympathetic nervous system... (Fight or flight responsonse). It's to allow your brain to take in as much info as possible. It's not just about fighting for life, but if your brain is very excited, it will do this as well.
