No, it's from 19th century intellectual meme. They wrote "all clear" as "oll klear" for fun.

I went to Costa Rica maybe 15 years or so ago, and realized I didn't now the Spanish word for "Okay". I was struggling to find a different way to respond. The person I was talking to realized I wanted to say "okay". They said in Spanish that it was okay and I could just say, "okay". So I said, "Okay". Then I had to say "okay" again to the first thing.

I didn't know about 'this' until I saw it on BP. Nor had I seen * used as people do on here. We use inverted commas.

At university, one of my teachers told us that OK stood for “zero killed” in the Civil War (US).🤔

it originally came from France, specifically the shipyards in France. When the harbor master confirmed the ship was unloaded, captains would say, "Au quay," which means 'on the dock.' Phonetically, it sounds exactly the way we say it in 'murica today - O. K. Okay?

As far as I know, OK stands for 'zero killed', and comes from the time of WWI or WWII, don't remember exactly. I might be wrong...

The origin of okay is not actually known, so Oll Korrect probably ain't true. I heard it stood for "Old Kindergarten" which was contemporary to a different time period and caught on. The origins of "Okay" are a longstanding linguistic debate.

there is a trivia post that i read before, says that OK means 0 killed (zero killed) from war, everyday reporting in the bulletin. then later they wrote it 0 K, then eventually read as OK.

I've heard this tip from someone. Whenever arrested, the first thing you do is ask for a lawyer. Don't answer their questions, don't submit to any of their interrogations. ASK FOR AN ATTORNEY. Those cops can have an entire investigation thrown out if they refuse. Asking for a lawyer is the most important thing to do.

This explains a lot. My husband n I just renovated a house we bought n there was cat piss ALL OVER THE HOUSE when we bought it n I could legit get a whiff n track it all the way down to the exact spot n it literally DROVE ME FUCKEN NUTS.. always getting a slight whiff of ammonia while I'm walking thru to living room or while I'm about to fall asleep... meanwhile my husband is living his blissful, weak-ass nose life n basically gaslighting me n telling me that I'm nuts... well he learned real quick once we got the carpet torn up that I AM NOT CRAZY n we were literally surrounded by urine... I honestly wish my nose would stop working so well... I can tune out annoying noises, I can tune out blinking lights or even someone like... obnoxiously poking me (youngest child of 3, only girl, 2 older brothers! I was tortured as a kid!) for hours on end... but I CANNOT IGNORE A SMELL I DONT LIKE.. or even ones I do like. I've been known to sniff out cannabis stashes before too' I'm a damn dog.

Technically true. You always have the ability to do this but your brain is stopping you using the full force of your muscles or you could literally snap your own bones. Adrenaline hinders this and can allow you to use more of your muscle strength.
