Whether we're talking about the subreddit Crappy Design or the Instagram account Ugly Irish Houses, the Internet seems obsessed with tasteless crimes against aesthetics and functionality. If you are too, the Twitter account "Cursed Architecture" is right up your alley.

Its hellish content includes strange angles, melting paint, vaguely threatening toilets, stairs that lead to nowhere, and more. Basically, the kind of stuff that architects and interior designers would imagine in a horror-comedy. But believe me, you don't have to be an industry pro to appreciate these pictures. They're so bad, us regular folk will get them as well. Enjoy!

Check the door down the hall for a nice stab in the back.

Was this meant to be a suicide door, or was there supposed to be a porch?

How is this so far up? It's neither architecture nor cursed, but just a bad photoshop.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I think it's carpet, but if it were moss I think I would actually really enjoy that bathroom.

When there is carpet on the floor, men are not allowed. Drip. Drip.

I once saw a house while house hunting which had an enormous, totally carpeted bathroom. The carpet was a horrible shade of violet-purple while the rest was painted dark red. And this room was sooooo freaking big, Like two connected livingrooms big. It looked like something out of a psychedelic horror movie. We referred to this house as "The Shining 2.0" It had more strange features Like a fully developed cellar with rooms that looked like a Family of 20 people could live there without you noticing...Just one giant room after another until you swore it was double the space than the outline of the house itself.Really strange.

This is a catalogue photo from the 70s. That's the last time those fuzzy toilet rugs were fashionable.

An "indoor outhouse." The grass is always greener when oxymorons are involved!

Oh gawd this takes me back to the early 1970's. I hated homes with carpeted toilets and bathrooms.Thank goodness we could never afford this monstrosity of so called 'indulgence'
