Wedding Photo Shoot Gets Interrupted By A Deer, Results In 15 Funny And Adorable Pictures
Oh deer, look at what happened here. A couple’s romantic wedding photo shoot went from beautiful to absolutely unique when it was interrupted by a cute, oblivious deer.
Many couples would pay their weight in gold for the kind of photo shoot that Megan and Luke got completely by accident. Photographer Laurenda Bennett captured the moments in a series of stunning pictures that will have you pining for a woodland photo shoot yourself. The florist for the photo session was Melissa from Melissa Anne Floral Co. Scroll down to read Bored Panda’s interview with the incredibly talented Laurenda.

A deer had wandered up to bride Morgan and groom Luke

Laurenda, who is a self-taught photographer of 5 years, revealed to Bored Panda that the photo session with the deer was completely unplanned.
“The bride wanted photos over in a field on the same grounds as her ceremony and reception, so we headed that way after dinner for their golden hour photos. Well, it was very overcast that day and we didn’t have a true golden hour, but what happened instead trumped that pretty light we were hoping for.”

The photographer continued: “When we reached the field, we saw him. He was grazing behind a little white fence and as soon as we were in view, he walked right up to Morgan and Luke. He was very interested in Morgan’s bouquet and without any hesitation, walks right over the fence on a quest to consume her pretty florals. He was pulling roses out one by one. Morgan and Luke raised the bouquet a few times and he would jump up for it. I’m just in front of them snapping away, instinctively. Eventually, Morgan drops the bouquet, giving it up to the deer.”
“We walked away for about 15 minutes to finish up our portraits and when we came back, the deer was gone but there was 1 white rose still intact. Morgan joked it was like the final rose from The Bachelor.”
The deer was particularly interested in the bride’s bouquet, which was made by Melissa Anne

Laurenda admitted that “nothing has remotely come to being as cool as this moment was,” but she did joke about one photo session where there was a “seagull flying in the background.”
The photographer also shared what her philosophy for work and life is: “Look up and live in the moment. The most interesting and memorable parts of your story are likely not written in your calendar.”
She also had this to say: “We are grateful to be sharing such a unique circumstance with the world. All the positive comments and feedback have been humbling.”

Here are some fun facts about deer in case you’re interested. This animal lives pretty much everywhere; the only place that it is absent from is Antarctica. Every single species of deer has antlers, except for the Chinese water deer, which has extra-long canine teeth (as long as a vampire’s)!
According to One Kind Planet, every year a deer’s antlers fall off and regrow, and most deer, when born, have white spots that disappear when they grow older. These white spots help the deer camouflage themselves from anyone meaning to do them harm. Because the deer in Laurenda’s wedding photos seems to have faded spots, we can guess that it’s probably close to adulthood.

The internet was fawning over the princess-like pictures
The pattern on the deer isn't faded baby spots, but the summer coat being replaced with a winter coat. The deer has several "points" on the antlers, so he's at least a couple of years old.
Antler points are not reliable for determining age (teeth are the most reliable and how we age them). Also, antler growth has more to do with diet and genetics than age. He's about 1.5 depending on when he was born. No swollen neck or muscular characteristics and his body resembles a doe (long legs for body mass).

Pandas, just comment like normal, the points were messed with, they won’t affect anyone’s score at all. You won’t get any real upvotes or downvotes.
do people really take points and scores on here seriously? Why??!!

Woah that got votes fast. Thanks Positivity Pandas. Edit: the points don’t affect my score, somethings wrong.

Hey BP staff, a little problem over here. 1770445 is just a “little” out of hand.
I think he messed with the code because he has exactly 0 points and we got so many downvotes. Edit: My votes haven’t changed at all up or down has this happened to anyone else?
Load More Replies...yes, it does appear that that 1770445 is the one polluting all the threads with misogynistic comments
Load More Replies...I'm going through the comments and a lot of nice ones are being extremely downvoted... There are probably a few trolls here and there, but could people actually give a reason to why they downvote? I could be missing something as to why these comments are bad... Personally I think this shoot came out great and the deer got an expensive snack. I'd say it's a win win
This is hilarious. I do worry about that deer though, being so trusting of humans. Hopefully this is in a park where hunting isn't allowed.
If hunting is allowed then you might've gotten a REALLY interesting photo.

He comes to the beach and mingles with swimmers, munching on snacks. Officials are keeping an eye on him, and will probably relocate him when he is older.
A six-point buck! Awwww, and his antlers are new and fuzzy! So cute! And he was so bold and friendly. I wonder if he's encountered humans before.
deer be like hey guys photos? mind if i join ooh i see u brought snacks
I know this post is getting kind of old, but I needed to come in here and post because this is like the third time I saw the thumbnail (10th image) and thought (very briefly) that I was seeing some sort of centaur. Half deer, half bride-to-be, all awesome.
Lol that sound hilarious. I can’t stop seeing a deer centaur now.

I never knew what happens to the deers raised by humans...they become Instagram personalities and are rented for photographer's weddings.
That has to be a semi-domesticated deer kept safely on private property... Any deer that friendly in the wild would not have lived that long.
He’s like “Lemme just... eat that for ya. It wouldn’t be good for you to digest anyway, I’ll be doing you a favor.”
it's gorgeous!! And the couple looks so naturally happy, not awkward smiling and posing :)
Invaluable memories of your wedding day. Cherish them.... He seems to have had earlier interactions with humans, luckily positive ones. Make copies of your wedding photos in case something happens, you don't want to ever lose them.
This is fantastic, a lovely couple showing they do love nature, the photographer did a great shoot, not everyone would have accepted the deer, perhaps a sign, enjoy nature in the future , make it part of your life, may the laughter on your special day, be there forever !!!
Oh yes I’m jealous! I would love this kind of photo shoot when I got married! So cute!
I just love the looks on the bride and grooms face not forced smiles. Rather a fresh and truly happy candid side of them.
1770445--what is the significance of your screen name? I, for one, am offended that you should use the year 1770. That year is very dear to me, as a beloved composer was born in that year. Please change your screen name to something better fitting your personality, such as "I'm a Jerk!" or "IDKHTBIP*!" * I don't know how to behave in public.
1770445 is 17704. 45. And 17704 is just the numbers 71407 mixed around. 7. 14. 07 is the month day and year that my family died. 45 is just tge number of accounts. Like 1770445 1770446 1770447 1770448 1770449 1770450 1770451

How lovely. But note to grooms, don't have your phone on your front pocket!
I have a picture like this but with a donkey! I wanted to feel like Snowwhite and take pictures with deers, but the deers were scared. But there was donkey who didn't mind humans so we had a whole photoshoot with this cute donkey who tried to eat my flowers.
I didn't see a link to their website, or any identifying information other than their name. It was not an obvious grab for customers, which we do sometimes see on this site.
