There’s a Lithuanian saying: a drop after a drop can crack even a rock. But one YouTube channel decided to speed up the process and picked up a 60,000 psi (pounds per square inch) to slice things: “We were told that a waterjet can cut through anything so we decided to put that to the test.” Their device can even go through a bowling ball like a knife through butter.

I don't know if I should be either amazed or terrified of this thing!
What they don't explain though is that it's not just pure water. The water is mixed with some kind of pulverized abrasive like aluminum and that mixture is what actually allows it to cut through metal and bowling balls, etc. Pure water jets can only cut through softer stuff like rubber.
Many people in the industry have lost more than fingers from water cuts.
Load More Replies...The same amount of water exists after the cutting is done. No water is wasted. That's physics for ya.
Load More Replies...That was the after photo just to show you where the shell would have been, had it been loaded which obviously it wasn't.
Load More Replies...Old news. Industries have been using water jet cutting for years now — mining, aerospace, even bakeries!
Bakeries? What do bakers need with a water-cutter?
Load More Replies...i hope no one attempts to wash their hands thinking it's water hose
You can lie down and we'll test. I'm quite certain it would blend you permanently.
Load More Replies...This is what my husband does for a living. Even a 30k can cut through a bowling ball! They cut through metal all the time .
