I've never thought I would paint something in watercolors and that it would actually work out. These are my very first paintings which I created in the last few weeks. One day a friend asked me to paint something in watercolors. For a moment I was lost and told that I am not sure I can do that. But later I decided to give it a try. And to be honest - I was surprised by the result myself. Of course, I still need a lot of practice, but the most difficult part is to start. Once you've started - then you just need to keep practicing and eventually, it will work out.
By this, I just want to encourage all those who are hesitating about trying something new!

Though these are really cool, I'm gonna have to call b******t on them being your first attempts. Watercolor is tricky to work with, nobody is this good at first. But they are cool.
Well, if she's already very adept at other techniques... how hard is it really to make a shift?
Load More Replies...These are beautiful. Can't believe you haven't had more practice, you really do have wonderful talent and a real feel for watercolour.
Thank you very much! I used to paint in oil on stones before, but no watercolors in any way

Well done Yana. You should be really proud of yourself. Truly remarkable talent. If these are your first paintings then you should never stop painting. I have made literally one decent watercolour (a tiger) and one half decent house on the beach. Everything else looks like a 5 year old did it. Thank you for sharing. Truly inspirational. xx
Thank you very much! I will definitely keep on painting in watercolors. I used to paint only oil paintings on stones, but never - watercolors. So these are really my first paintings :)
Load More Replies...You should probably continue working with watercolors, these are pretty great!
I have a set of watercolors and I'm terrified to open them. But then, I don't paint. I've sketched twice LOL. Anyway... you're amazingly gifted!! Keep going! I can't wait to see more!
Thank you so much! Don't be terrified, give it a try! Wish you good luck! :)

I wonder if I can paint all the twelve puppies in the same painting! :)
Load More Replies...These are awesome! What was your medium before using watercolors? I'm starting a watercoloring course next week (just 2 hours per week though) any tips?
I am painting in oils (oil paintings on stones) mostly, I think I am too new and unexperienced to give any advices. But what can I say for sure - it's really hard to fix it if you painted something wrong, it's much easier with oils when it comes to this.
Load More Replies...Amazing!! Where did you get the tips a/o advice at? Wish I could do art half as you :) Good luck ^,^
Thank you very much! I just like painting small details, so I was curious if I can do that in watercolors, that is how I tried :)
