I wanted to depict strong women warriors who do not necessarily look like the typical warrior. With different sizes, ages, and body types, each one feels like she has a rich backstory and history.

If your wondering, that dog is a leonberger! They are gentle giants, weighting up to 90 - 160 pounds! Though they are not that common of a breed in America, they are use for all sorts of things, like search and rescue, farm work, cart pulling, a companion...ECT... Well I hope this helped! ( Lol if you were even wondering)
Load More Replies...I once met a lady who called herself Pinky and she traveled with a magnificent golden dog name Godly. This image personifies them.
Pinky sounds like a very interesting person!
Load More Replies...It's me! Silver hair to my rump, short, big nosed and still a fighter after almost 60 years
Looks like shes seen quite a bit of adventure, a wise warrior to learn from.
Weapons and armor evaluation. Gambeson looks good and I like the inclusion considering the demeanor of the character here and it was a very prevalent medieval armor type. The sword isn't completely visible being sheathed but for the length of the blade, compared to the hilt which looks to be about one-and-a-half hand length. So I can deduce that she has a bastard sword (arming sword or one-handed sword length blade with a hilt that can be used definitively with both hands). Very basic but good armor, clothing and equipment. And add a few more points for the good boi.
yes ma-am. Those are some powerful legs. She will lure you in with her sword to fight, then kick the c**p out of you with those lovely gams.
Send those generic demons back to hell where they deserve to be! They deserve a vacation!
Load More Replies...She looks like River Song from Doctor Who. River-Song...123775.jpg
OMG the hair, nose, AND body shape look exactly like me! I feel seen <3
Weapons and armor evaluation: the gambeson is basically identical to that of #2 and I still think it's pretty good assuming the sleeves on the inner layer are padded. The sword is nice, nothing wrong with it, but for a two-handed grip, I think it should be longer. But it's adequate to say the least, and I think it suits her visual character to say it accurately.
I just realized that the pictures probably move depending on likes, so by #2 I mean the black girl with the hair bun carrying a sword over her right shoulder and a bow on her left with the quiver of arrows behind her on her belt.
Load More Replies...And no, I do not mean o racist for those of you who are sensitive or misinterpreting this xd I'm black myself.
Load More Replies...oh my.. I actually heard a french bulldog puppy whine in my head. cool pic
Load More Replies...A simple farm girl forced to hunt down bandits in order to save her younger siblings.
She looks like a Native American warrior. Powerful, confident, and capable.
My first impression was that she looked Indian but now I'm not so sure.
Load More Replies...Can't stand snakes, they are grossing me out, but I appreciate the women's tender look.
Yah this one is my favorite! It looks cute. Barefoot, amazing outfit..... don't require any weapon, she can kill anyone by her smile! <3
no its national weapon of Nepal "khukuri"
Load More Replies...YES! A dinosaur! I have this picture book when I was little called 'Dinotopia' and I just adored that book, medieval cities with dinosaurs in it :^D Thank you for getting me to remember it~
I'm so glad that another person has read and heard about the Dinotopia series. I used to love looking at the illustrations when I was younger and having my parents read me the stories (I believe the author has a fairly new book out now). This badass warrior woman does remind me of a character from the pages of Dinotopia.
Load More Replies...That is a young Parasaurolophus! Imagine riding an Iguanodon. They are such awesome, elegant giants.
This loving gesture captures greatly the essence of this transspecies relatinship!
When you say "Black people invented..." it just.... Just say "Africans", lol.

And the cat right where it usually is - trying to trip you as you walk LOL!! 💜💜
She's tough, ernest and focussed; and as it's cats custom her companion breaks the fourth wall!
I want to know her story. Why does she have a duck? Why does the duck have a fabulous victorian updo?
He's clearly the duck of luck. Evain grew up in a coastal village 3 hours walk at the city. Day after day she walked the same roads, ate the same food, and reveled in the comfort and warmth of home. Her older brother was a member of a fishing crew and would come home for only a few weeks a year. When he came home Evain would bombard Nael with questions about his latest adventure. Hanging on his every word. She never expected to become part of the story. The world was vast and complicated. She was tending to the garden one day when a rustle from a nearby bush caught her attention. Beneath the branches, she found a pure white duck with an injured foot. She gathered the bedraggled feathered fluff and set off for the barn. Evain made sure the duck was comfortable and safe. Nursing the duck back to health. During this time, when the duck was almost completely healed, Nael came home for a week. Like always he recounted his tales and exaggerating for effect. On the final day,

we had ducks with 'hats' like these. Mine was called Pompeii, because he had a pompadour.
A duck with a do, and a gorgeous lady. Can't think of a better duo.
This is my favorite. A woman with this build is only ever portrayed as the bad guy, if she's seen at all. However, I know several lovely women of the same shape IRL, just as varied as the whole of your series. Beautiful job!
The bad guy, or the comic relief. It's one of Hollywood's cemented-on stereotypes, and it's tiresome :(
Load More Replies...She is the beserker. The shock troops. The ones you use when you are in the big battle. Not a spy or someone who can sneak around. Elegant, deadly and unbeatable. Then she will cook you the most delicious meal.
This is an only realistic big woman here, she cloud be a really good fighter in history, she looks like she has a lot of muscle under the fat. A lot of types of combat uses weight as a benefit.
She looks like she's dangerous with that axe too! :D
Load More Replies...She looks extremely powerful, but yet very calm. No doubt she is strong, but gentle.
she could ride that pig if she needed too..they can be very speedy!
Boars are very intelligent and fierce and can disembowel larger animals (and people) with their razor sharp tusks.
You are right. I grew up hunting them for meat with dogs and guns. They are very delicious and yet very deadly. If you get one, let the dogs give chase. It usually goes into its hole bum first or sits on a bush to fight to the death. Any dog or person that dares come closer when it's in its fight or flight mode, it's razor sharp teeth will certainly do major damage
Load More Replies...She looks like she could run for miles with a super heavy pack. I’m envious.
I agree, she looks like a powerful runner. An explorer or scout perhaps from her map case and messenger pouch.
Load More Replies...This artist is very talented at drawing clothing. I love all of the details!
Great images, I applaud you for the subject matter you've chosen and the way in which you are portraying the individuals- competent and strong. The facial expressions are especially nicely done. This one is another lovely image except for one thing- the bowstring looks too long.
really... what is with all the low crotch pants? If you need to kick your opponent or climb over something on a battlefield, you are screwed.
Pants like this have been around for like 4000 years in Persia and other areas. It is something warrior would have warn at some point in history.
Load More Replies...that is an Afghan Hound, one of the oldest dog breeds around! They are big, skinny, hypoallergenic dogs! First breed in cold mountains of Afghanistan.
When I was young, my aunt had a pair of Afghan hounds, they were beautiful gentle souls. A tan one named Tanya, and a black one called Bluebell. I like the way this warrioress is long and lean and has very long fingers, she is basically the human equivalent to the dog.
One of my favorites . The long legs. The pose , the similar colors . You know she is talking quietly to the doggy. The doggy has a ponytail!!
Me feeling great. These are great warriors. Always lived fantasy drawings of woman warriors. And after cramming in 9 seasons of The Walking Dead can see them moving in wonderful form and style.
Hyperlordosis: an exaggerated inward curve of the lumbar spine. It can cause discomfort but not usually pain. Speaking from experience of having this condition.
I have it too. I would love to sleep long, but my back starts to kill me after 6,5 hours, 7,5 in really good night.
Load More Replies...If her pants/pantaloons are cut to follow her shape, then yes. If, instead, the cut merely hides the top of her but cleavage, then no. (I've seen many with large enough butts that this style of pants would rest on the cleavage, not the tailbone.)
Load More Replies...This is literally what my back looks like. I have the same condition Rain WhiteBuffalo has -- Hyperlordosis.
Th is is my favorite. I totally relate to this one! Representation matters!
it's like the reality of Snow White. instead of bluebirds, it's a raven. how awesome!
The toothpick is a nice touch. Adds that, "you don't really want to do that, but if you do, you'll have to come through me first" attitude....
@BoneDaddy. Why dont you throw up a picture of yourself and each of your family members. I would also like to comment on their shape. Cool? Jaggoff.
Bow's too long, you need a shorter bow to shoot from horseback.
Load More Replies...Dude, I'm sorry for you that you feel bad about the downvotes but as you said in your about section on your profile: Maybe your comments are a bit too lengthy and go too deep into the small details. I understand that you are enthusiastic about the subject but it's a bit of a overkill (here) I'll guess. It unintentionally comes across as a bit too much of a know it all. Just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong, do what you want with it, gr.
Load More Replies...Please tell me this is Karolina Zebrowska, the fabulous historical costumer.
Love it! I feel like you were looking at my picture when you made this! Me fighting my kids every night to clean up their mess!
Lil bo peep's lesser known cousin, Big bo pigg! (I mean this in the nicest way because of the pig slung over her shoulder.. she is gorgeous and I want her to step on me)
Load More Replies...All of the ladies look wonderful. The daily training with their chosen weapon would definitely harden their bodies a bit, so it makes sense that the larger ladies with the softer bodies have hunting companions that do the distant in your face stuff, and they have long range weapons. Those that do not, could stand to have a few more defined muscles in their arms and legs. They don't have to be skinny, or lean, just more defined. Warriors work at their craft and generally get regular practice, which can be a hell of a workout.
Only problem I have with any of these are the waistlines that belong on a 12 yr old. Nobody that I've ever seen has waists like that.
Agreed! These are wonderful drawings, the artwork is terrific, and I do appreciate the diversity, as well as the power shown in each picture. But the tiny waists? Really? I'm feeling faint just looking at them!
Load More Replies...Ope, a dead pig. Welp, I guess that drawing of a lady with a warthog just lost its warthog.
This looks *exactly* like a judgmental Renaissance painting. I love it!
Stunning, powerful, made me feel beautiful even as a woman of lumpy-middle-age-dom. <3
Yael these are powerful images and our world will be better off if we see more of these in a variety of visual spaces! Have you considered also depicting people with different abilities (also referred to as "people with disabilities")? It would be absolutely amazing to see how badass people with different abilities are in illustrations such as yours! Thank you
Now this is something different than the usual reimaginations and recreations. It's also pretty cool too and well made. Beautiful and not so pretentious.
I love these. I can envision myself and all women as warriors. We are. We fight battles everyday.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of these bad-a*s women warriors. They all look like characters that I would love to read about in a fantasy novel or play in a video games. Wonderful knowledge of clothing and weaponry!
Thats exactly what I think. I would even wear the clothes :-))) Thank yo very much for your wonderful work!!!
Load More Replies...One of the characters in a game I'm playing was a goose farmer, I have sent this picture to her, I think she'll love it. Thanks and great work.
Load More Replies...I love that each one of them looks like she's stepped out of her own epic story. They have such different looks and personalities, but they're all ready for adventure!
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this. I am older, and not thin. But sometimes I try to tell myself I am a warrior to encourage myself to work out or try harder or focus on goals. This speaks to me so much. Thank you! ❤️
When does the comic come out...I'd love to follow these women into battle!
