I wanted to depict strong women warriors who do not necessarily look like the typical warrior. With different sizes, ages, and body types, each one feels like she has a rich backstory and history.

You can find all my warrior women in a high-res, free-to-download PDF in the link below.

Age is not a "mod" any more than gender or race are. I see where you're going with your comment and it's a start, but you're still centering youth, and that's ageism.

If your wondering, that dog is a leonberger! They are gentle giants, weighting up to 90 - 160 pounds! Though they are not that common of a breed in America, they are use for all sorts of things, like search and rescue, farm work, cart pulling, a companion...ECT... Well I hope this helped! ( Lol if you were even wondering)

I once met a lady who called herself Pinky and she traveled with a magnificent golden dog name Godly. This image personifies them.

Weapons and armor evaluation. Gambeson looks good and I like the inclusion considering the demeanor of the character here and it was a very prevalent medieval armor type. The sword isn't completely visible being sheathed but for the length of the blade, compared to the hilt which looks to be about one-and-a-half hand length. So I can deduce that she has a bastard sword (arming sword or one-handed sword length blade with a hilt that can be used definitively with both hands). Very basic but good armor, clothing and equipment. And add a few more points for the good boi.

These are awesome. As a competitive fencer for over 40 years, I know all these women. I've competed with them ALL! And, I've also trained many of them. THANK YOU.

This could have been my grandmother. She was so wise and so tough. Sadly she has not been with us for a very long time now.

I want that dog. As far as her story goes, I feel like she is less a warrior, more of a search and rescue person who is willing to fight frost troll and ice giants if need be.

I absolutely love these! Any chance you'd do a similar series on men of different body types? The body positivity movement has not reached men yet in general.

fabulous idea. Can I ask, have you drawn a woman with thinning hair, even a bald patch please? Women who lose their hair through age or other natural reasons seem to be one of the last acceptability taboos....cropped or shaved seems to be acceptable but not being bald...I note that your wonderful images, while having varying body shapes skin colours and so on....all have hair!

Don't tell us powerful - SHOW us powerful. Instead of poses and cute doggos and smiles, show them fighting. A little blood and sweat, weapons being put to use instead of accessories. I'd really like to see that.

This is my favorite. A woman with this build is only ever portrayed as the bad guy, if she's seen at all. However, I know several lovely women of the same shape IRL, just as varied as the whole of your series. Beautiful job!

that is an Afghan Hound, one of the oldest dog breeds around! They are big, skinny, hypoallergenic dogs! First breed in cold mountains of Afghanistan.

Hyperlordosis: an exaggerated inward curve of the lumbar spine. It can cause discomfort but not usually pain. Speaking from experience of having this condition.

This looks *exactly* like a judgmental Renaissance painting. I love it!
