Manhattan Now Has The “Wall Of Lies” That Lists 20,000+ Of President Trump’s Lies And It Has Already Been Vandalized
On October 4th, around one month before the Presidential election, radio station Radio Free Brooklyn displayed a massive mural titled “Wall of Lies” outside Pine Box Rock Shop at 12 Grattan St. in Bushwick. The wall has been created to highlight more than 20,000 false or misleading claims by President Donald Trump since he has been in office. Apparently, all the quotes featured on this wall have been fact-checked by The Washington Post. Turns out, all of the President’s claims featured on the “Wall of Lies” are in chronological order and color-coded by categories.

“Seen from a distance, it looks like chaos—perhaps an apt metaphor for this presidency, but when you step closer, you can read the individual lies, which are in chronological order color-coded by categories like coronavirus, Russia, immigration, the environment, and jobs. Then when you step back, you can recognize patterns in Trump’s lying,” Bushwick artist Phil Buehler, who suggested the display, told Bushwick Daily.

Sadly, on October 8th, the wall was vandalized and covered in graffiti by Trump supporters. “When we saw that the wall had been vandalized, my first reaction was rage,” Tenney told BK Reader. “But that was soon replaced with determination to not let bullies win, and we decided that we’d build another one, and make it even bigger.”

After the original wall was vandalized, Radio Free Brooklyn jumped into action and set up a GoFundMe page to raise some money for a new wall. In two weeks, the radio raised over $4,000 and got the new wall installed at Lafayette and Grand Streets. Turns out, the new wall is twice as big as the original (100 feet long) and it also includes Black Lives Matter artworks by local artists.

I recently watched a documentary on social media on Netflix (the social divide) and it discussed how Conservatives and Democrats are becoming so divided thanks to the steady inflow of opinions on Social Media sites. Everyone refuses to even consider the "other side" and the U.S. in particular is more divided than ever. Spread love, y'all.

@ Bruce, actually multiple studies show social media sites like Facebook favor Republicans and post regarding their content. Matter of fact, if you saw the news today, there are multiple hearings happening in DC right now regarding removing internet laws originally made back in the 90s that protected websites from lawsuits against content posted by 3rd parties on their sites. It's assumed the complete removal of these laws would create a wave of class action lawsuits with a large amount of them happening because of all the far right and racist post allowed on these sites.

Thank you so much. I agree that there is so much division and people need to look at the other side. I'm for Trump, but even I think it's unreasonable for pro-Trumps to shut down Democrats and treat them like they're the stupidest living things on the face of the Earth. It doesn't help anything but cause more conflict and offers no room for learning. For example, from my perspective, I feel that some of these posted were him joking around since he tends to have a cheeky sense of humor. I feel that the others require a lot of context... Although I don't agree with them, I respect others' political views. However, insulting and harassing becomes another issue and doesn't offer any structure to the point you're making.
I'll start by saying that I've always voted Democrat, I just simply don't like the republican message. That being said, in the past I've listed to the first Bush, the second Bush, Romney, when he was running. I understand why they think the things they do. I don't agree, but I understand where they're coming from. That being said, trump has no place in any of this. There's Republicans (of the past), and Democrats. Then there's trump. Stop making excuses for him. He's not about our country. He's all about himself. He's a petty tyrant, that insults people, mocks people, and assaults people. I'm sorry if you think that's a "cheeky sense of humor". There is no context necessary when he calls Elizabeth Warren "Pocohontas". I've never seen either of Bushes name call. I don't remember Romney name calling. I don't even remember Reagan name calling. I don't remember McCain name calling. These men had dignity. They could discuss their differences intelligently and calmly. trump can't.

I'm not from the Unites States, so I could be wrong, but as far as I understood the majority of US citizens didn't vote for him And eventhough I sort of agree (lots of morons, bigots, xenophobes etc), it's not really fair to make them out as one group of idiots. For whatever reason they had, misinformed or not Clinton would be so much better in my opinion, but she isn't perfect either, who's to say what she would have screwed up
