Do you ever catch yourself wondering who the people behind various commercial, animated TV show, and service voice-overs are? When you think about it, there are tons of different voices we know so well, yet we have no idea what these people look like or who they are. The more you think about it, the weirder it starts to seem.
Do you know who is behind the famous voice of Apple's Siri? Or who gave their voice to minions from Despicable Me? Bored Panda invites you to scroll down and find out who the people behind some of the most well-known voices from commercials, TV shows, and services are.

This is cool. Didn't BP have an article about a woman who's husband passed, but he made a recording for the metro and she would go to hear him? Then they changed the recording, and finding out how much it meant, sent a tape to the widow? That was sweet.
Tony The Tiger—Thurl Ravenscroft

Oh, he was the diner cook in the first season of Stranger Things.
Philip J. Fry—Billy West
He voiced tons of other characters on Futurama including but not limited to professor and crab doctor (forgot his name)

Germany does voiceovers for every foreign movie and every actor has his own German voice. We know foreign actors by their German voices. I was baffled as a kid when I realised not every country does this. In Poland they use one voice for the whole movie. That's very confusing. I always liked how Germany does it, but it has it's downs too. For example: often they translate everything, so when there are originally multiple languages used, in Germany they all speak German. Jokes can get lost too.
In Denmark we use subtitles. Unless it's a childrens movie. Never understood the need to replace the original actors' voices.
True, they indeed can get lost easily. For example, in the German version of The Nanny; the running gag on Fran Fines voice is completely lost, since the voice actor just uses a normal voice. On the other hand, Maid Marions big German nanny in the movie Men in Tights however, was well translated by making her a Dutch speaking woman. A creative solution.
Sanne H. yes
Not just jokes. Acting is just as much about using your body as it is your voice and it's impossible to match. Honestly, from a Dutch standpoint, it's awful to watch. And with the option of removing subtitles so easily in online content, I also learned how distracting subtitles can be by the way. ;)
Famous? Didn't recognize most.
No mention of tom kane..the voice of yoda, the academy awards, the professor from the powerpuff girls..the man is a legend
The only true voice of Yoda is Frank Oz. Real fans know this.
Ben Smith yes

what's the deal with all the american commercials and company mascots? you guys are aware that no one outside the us has any idea who they are
Markus Siegemund yes
Thought that too. For an international website, this article is less than optimal.
What about Tom Kenny, voice of SpongeBob? He also played (in addition to tons of other voice over roles) an evil clown in Bobcat Goldthwait's 1991 alcoholic clown comedy, Shakes the Clown!
UPvote for mentioning Shakes the Clown.
mph seti good
A big pile of white beef!!!!
Sam Kunz what
Sam Kunz love
If you like this post, watch "I Know That Voice". Great film by the voice of Bender!
AKA John DiMaggio.
Surprised GLaDOS wasn't here.
whoa
How is the Star Trek "Computer" voice not on this list? https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000854
As I’m neither a child nor an American, I have no idea who most of these are.
I was hoping for more cartoon characters.
In austrian railways, the voice of Chris Lohner is still used. She used to inform the TV audience about what's up next and stuff, and attended in Kottan Ermittelt, too ... but I guess Austria is a bit ... small and far away - for the most of us (I'm not from there, too).
This could have been MUCH more interesting if you'd have listed ALL the voice overs these particular people do, or add even more people to the list
Many pilots in a US made warplane has heard"Bitchin Betty" the warning voice. Leslie Schlock retired just a couole years ago from Boeing
Where's Rob Paulsen?!
I actually am familiar with a lot of voice actor names--some of the ones mentioned here are the current voices for certain characters as the previous actors have passed on. I didn't know who voiced a lot of the commercial characters though.
This isn’t interesting
