“Blaze Is A Pure Black Labrador Retriever, But He’s A Little Different From The Others” (27 Pics)
Blaze is a pure Labrador Retriever. He’s ten years old, lives in Finland and likes the outdoors. This adorable dog is almost like any other Lab. Almost.
Blaze was born with a black coat and it had stayed that way for most of his life. But about a year ago, this black labrador started developing white patches all over his body.
Turns out, the cute doggo has vitiligo. His owner Santeri, however, said it doesn’t stop Blaze from enjoying his everyday life. The unusual animal is still healthy, full of energy, and wants to go places, since vitiligo only changes fur and skin pigmentation and nothing else.
Recently, Santeri shared a photo of Blaze sitting next to the dinner table in a popular Facebook group called Dogspotting Society, and it instantly went viral. The image has generated over 32K reactions, and people can’t stop admiring Blaze’s mesmerizing appearance. Scroll down below and check this beautiful dog with vitiligo for yourself!

Share on FacebookI had no idea that dogs can have vitiligo too. The lab looks great, with his very own personal style, and I wish that I could join you on a walk in the majestic Finnish forest, how lovely that would be!
It can happen in cats, too. There is a cat named Scrappy that is a black cat with vitiligo and is just gorgeous!

Vitiligo occurs when something in the dog’s system impacts melanin-producing cells. Most organisms (including humans) have melanin; it’s the pigment that gives skin, fur, eyes, and other body parts their color. When melanin-producing cells are attacked, the pigment color goes away, hence the white patches on dogs with vitiligo
My dog underwent the same thing. She was a black Labrador and then she started developing white patches which spread all over her body.
He is a beauty. Pups no matter what they bring to your life, are there to teach you something.
I was going to read some news, so I'm glad I decided to check thru BP. The story and pictures made me smile and ooh and ah, so I've decided to end my night now, while I still feel the joy this gorgeous puppet gave me! You have the prettiest coat I've ever seen! Thank you!!!❤❤❤
this doggo means so much to meh im only 11 and im getting braces soon and know i will be made fun of my sister has already started calling me metal mouth but i dont care 😐😕😞
hes so cute! i hope he lives a long and happy rest of his life
The dog looks sick or deficient to me in a number of the photos - very unhappy. Vitiligo is an auto immune disease.
he looks like an aging dog, to me; there's nothing about vitiligo itself that causes any problems or discomfort, that i know of. it's caused by an immune system response, yes, and in humans can come along with other immune issues like hashimoto's, but by itself all it really does is change the skin.
Load More Replies...Vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder and nothing to do with genetic engineering.
Wonder if a antibiotic did this ....check back to see if a Flouroquinone like Cipro was used ....This has a Rare Earth Mineral thatstarted use in the 1989 in several things ....another was MRI dye gadolinium and msybe vaccines when things went very off the wall ....maybe
