Grandparents’ Emotional Reaction To This Girl’s Tattoo Touched Many Social Media Users

Let us introduce you to Agustina Wetzel (if you haven’t heard about her already), an Argentinian girl who decided to surprise her grandparents, Marcos (92) and Celoy (89), by tattooing their names on her ankle. She filmed herself showing her new “accessory” to the family and their response to it. The grandfather’s emotional reaction touched many social media users. The video went viral and now has more than 2 million views on Twitter!

She thought of tattooing her ankle with their names on it

Agustina told Bored Panda that some time ago she tattooed her idol’s signature and so she thought it was a nice gesture to do something similar for her grandparents. She shared that they are very important to her. “I was going to make a drawing made by them but my sister and my parents had the idea of having my grandparents’ names written by themselves, I thought it was an excellent idea!”
It all started when Agustina asked both of her grandparents to write their names on a piece of paper

Her excuse was that she needed it “for college”

After Agustina got the tattoo, she went to see her grandparents so that she could show it to them. “Remember writing your names for me some time ago?”

Augustina shared that everyone in her family was very excited, happy, and anxious for her grandparents to see the tribute that the woman made to them.
“My grandparents were the first people from my family I did this tattoo for, but I would do it to anyone I love without hesitation. My family is very important to me.”
So she revealed what that was really all about

Agustina revealed that she had no idea her grandparents would be so excited! “My grandfather doesn’t like tattoos, whenever he sees a tattoo on me I say that it is temporary but when I told him that this one would last a lifetime, he was so thrilled!”

that is wonderful. I'm usually not in favour of tattooing someone's name on you but this is just sweet and will make a great memory

I have my grandparents signatures tattooed on my side!! It’s the one and only tattoo I have.
A really sweet gesture but if I was going to get a tattoo with this much meaning to it, danged if I wouldn't have it where I could see it!
Agreed, I have a similar tattoo of both of my little brothers' names and it's on my inner arm where I can see it. I have ankle tattoos and regularly forget about them.
