How Ads From Today’s Famous Brands Would Look If They Were Created In The 1950’s
Advertising, as well as a lot of other fields, has had to adapt to the evolution of technology. And we can totally see a difference when we compare the old, vintage ads to the ones created nowadays. While both vintage and today’s ads still think about consumer desire, today they rather sell an idea than a product.
Invaluable, the world’s leading online marketplace for fine art, antiques and collectibles, has created 5 vintage posters that show how would the famous brands, such as Airbnb, Spotify, or Snapchat, advertise themselves if they were marketed with a different mindset in the 50s. Scroll down to see it for yourself.

I love how the Bored Panda is full of delicate little snowflakes that downvote everyone with different opinion. People have said that they don't like this, and that warrants a negative vote? Lear to accept other peoples opinions, and respect them. You will not always find approval in life, and you shouldn't have to. I, for one, like this "vintage ads", but accept that some people don't, and they are allowed to say that, especially since their comments are not disrespectful in any way.
you up vote comments you like. you down vote comments you don't like. that's kinda what they're for.
Load More Replies...not to be that person but taxis do come on command. that's why they have phone number decals. so you can call the dispatch.
One thing - I'm bothered by how the people are obvious digital-painted photo manipulations and not actual illustrations.
Ads like this are my main pleasure in flipping through old National Geographic magazines. If only we could go back and edit out all the sexism from the Madmen era ads.
