Internet Can’t Stop Laughing At Epic Photoshop Fails By World Famous Photographer – Can You Spot Them All?

All the ingredients were there for the ultimate celebrity photos. Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz behind the lens, a gorgeous setting and 12 of the biggest Hollywood stars out there, including Tom Hanks, Nicole Kidman, Robert De Niro, Oprah Winfrey, and Reese Witherspoon.
What could possibly go wrong? It is one of the world’s most prestigious magazines, and this shoot is for the cover, no less.
It turns out quite a lot actually! While Reese Witherspoon is looking amazing in the photoshopped images, cuddled up next to Oprah, there is something amiss… she appears to be the lucky recipient of an extra leg. What is going on down there?
Is she auditioning for a role in an upcoming Alien movie? Perhaps she is looking for work behind the camera; the extra leg would bring great stability! With the photo a hot topic all over the internet, Witherspoon took the Photoshop fail in good humor, sending out this tweet:
“Well…I guess everybody knows now…I have 3 legs. I hope you can still accept me for who I am (and I will never apologize for snuggling @Oprah .. if you get the opportunity, I highly recommend it ;)”
Vanity Fair denied any culpability in the affair, claiming innocence with this tweet:
“While we would have loved the exclusive on @RWitherspoon’s three legs, unfortunately, it’s just the lining of her dress.”
So, funny fail or just an unfortunate result of lighting and dress color? We will leave it for you to decide. However, more damning evidence of Photoshop skulduggery was to be found in a separate, ‘behind the scenes’ photo.
In this one, Oprah appears to have somehow conjured up a third hand. With one hand on her hip and another resting on her lap, everything looks normal enough at first glance. Until you notice a third Oprah-hand somehow finding its way on to Reese Witherspoon’s waist in the terribly photoshopped image! How do you explain that one?
Like Reese Witherspoon, Oprah responded with a laugh, sending out this tweet:
“I accept your 3rd leg. As I know you accept my 3rd hand”

Pff. Why are we calling this a "photoshop fail?" This wasn't photoshopped! Everyone knows that Oprah has a third hand and Reese Witherspoon has a third leg. These ladies have tried to hide it for so long but ya can't fool me. The photographer simply FORGOT to photoshop it so no one would see the truth. Wake up, Internet. XD

I guess this fail happened because they deleted James Franco from all the pictures and rearranged all the persons too hasty. Franco was originally seen on the front cover before his #metoo happened.
it's not a "third" leg, it's just a fold in the dress. I have to agree that the behind the scenes photo's are idiotic to be photoshopped (in a bad way) ...
it looks like the inside of the dress to me, too. i can't explain zendaya's missing leg, though!
I can see how the bottom looks like a fold in the dress, but the top is definitely coming out of the slit...
I think her leg would have to be broken at the knee to bend that way! It's at too weird an angle for the "third leg" to be a fold in the dress.
Now I'm curious what the unedited photo looks like.

Maybe all that stuff is the leftovers of James Franco... who was removed from the cover due to "allegations" of sexual misconduct.

That is not the lining of that dress. And even if it was - you would have photoshopped it so it didn't look like a third leg. Come on - the fact is that if I had to guess - this was a Lebowitz photoshoot. A previously very talented photographer who now phones in every shoot she does for VF. I haven't seen a good shoot from her in years. And ultimately they are her photos - so she should be the one checking them in the end.
The mistakes were placed on purpose and meant to be noticed to make a statement, all things in life are done to relay information to others, to possibly drive up prices on a collectible such as the hard copy magazine itself. Run out and grab yourself a copy, keep it mint, and in 100 years, your great-great-grand kids may have something worth having.
Also, Nicole Kidman seems have her elbow on a invisible support.
I thought the "fail" was that the women are draped all over the picture, and the men are just standing there. I guess Hollywood women aren't as sensitive when they're sprawling all over the cover of Vanity Fair.

Fairly certain their explanation holds up and it's just a dress fold. Why? Because there isn't really any discernible reason why they'd have to combine her lower dress from two different positions. Doubled-up appendages usually come from two different people comp'd together, not the legs of the same person. Saaay, for instance the behind the scenes shot of Oprah's multiple hands. That's much more likelihood something they overlooked.

Maybe it was intentional? Annie's strikes me as a rebel as much as she is an artist. With all the noise about the photoshopping of models, it's not inconceivable that Annie would have something to say.
I really think that the third leg is just a roll in the dress' fabric with unfortunate shadow. No excuses on that third hand though. I always wondered how Oprah accomplished so much, now we know.
Vanity Fair lied about Reese's third leg being the lining of her dress. In other pictures, the lining is the same color as the outside of her dress. Sad.
That third leg...to me it looked just like the inner side of the dress, really....but okay, when even Reese admits it... :)
As a photographer with some experience in editing photos, I don't see any problems with the "leg issues" in the final photo. Reese's dress color in that area just looks similar to her legs, and Zendaya's leg is simply hidden behind her other leg. The third hand thing is definitely a fail.
