Turns Out, UPS Drivers Have A Facebook Group About Dogs They Meet On Their Routes, And It Will Make Your Day
If you’re a postal worker, the best part of your day is probably your customers’ dogs. You look forward to their wagging tales and warm greetings whenever you pull up in their owner’s driveway, and you always have a treat ready for them. UPS driver Sean McCarren knows this all too well, and has created the best Facebook group ever to pay tribute to the furry friends that make daily routes a heck of a lot happier.
UPS Dogs is a nation-wide network of canine-loving ‘big brown truck’ drivers who post pictures of the pups they become acquainted with along their delivery schedule. Some of them have known their clients’ dogs for years, and have worked out complex treat-exchange systems with them. The group has been going strong for 5 years now, and is still moderated by McCarren himself. “It’s a good example of the relationships our employees build with their customers, two- or four-legged,” a UPS spokesperson told Buzzfeed News.
Scroll down to see a few ‘UPS Dogs’ that we wish we could package up and deliver to our doorstep, and be sure to follow the official page using the link below!

Meet Sean McCarren, a UPS driver who started a truly special Facebook group for dog-loving postal workers
UPS Dogs is a network of UPS employees across the US who post photos of the dogs they meet along their route
Some of their customers’ canines have been their loyal friends for years, and eagerly await their deliveries
McCarren has moderated the group for 5 years now, but the page’s photos are completely crowdsourced
Though the page isn’t affiliated with UPS, a company spokesperson has commented on it to Buzzfeed News
“It’s a good example of the relationships our employees build with their customers, two- or four-legged”
“I know my customers pretty well, but I know their dogs even better,” said employee Jeff Skender
“This is one of the very best parts of my job… to be greeted so happily by unconditional love”
Don’t worry – cats get lots of UPS love, too
These pups are so precious, we want to box them up and have them delivered to our doorstep
The Internet is absolutely full of joy after finding out about this heartwarming community
Does your dog have a postal-working best friend? Tell us more below!

Share on FacebookThe blind dog alone was enough to melt my heart. And those eyes and faces! So, so cute!!! Thank you for being such an important part of the community and having a big heart to feed them treats.
Some of the delivery drivers around here have beepers on their trucks that chirp when the truck is in Park, presumably so that blind pedestrians wouldn't stroll into them if they are parked in an unexpected place (?). I'm sure the same thing lets all the blind dogs know right where to find the Man in Brown.

Many years ago I had a very loving Golden Retriever. And a UPS driver that lived 4 doors down from me. I used to always joke with him that I was going to have to take him to court to set up legal shared custody of my Snoopy. She would saunter over to his house when he got home from work and "visit" him, returning "home" only after he got ready for bed. Then, when the weekend rolled around my Snoopy would disappear to his house on Friday nights and didn't come home until late Sunday evening. That same pattern was repeated week after week for the rest of Snoopy's life. The UPS man covered all of her needs while she was "visiting" him and even offered to cover half of Snoopy's medical expenses. When she died, he not only paid almost half of her funeral expenses but he gifted her a beautiful headstone. Even though it's been years since she died, I've noticed that he still visits her grave at least once a year. I'll never forget his kindness and love for Snoopy.
Ha, UPS should make sure their deliverymen have treats for doggos at all times! Awesome pics :D
Most of the drivers carry treats with them, it's better to make friends with their four-legged clients than it is to make enemies!

Load More Replies...oh lord! I was bawling my eyes out by the third picture. How awesome is it that they keep treats for the dogs? Those pics of the whole gang of dogs at the truck were just too awesome. A beautiful thing to see. This may be the best post I've seen on this site. Cheers gentlemen! Touching to see little acts of kindness and beauty!
AWESOME!!!! Great job for those workers who prob make a dogs day as well as their own!!!!
Our driver usually has to take about 5-10 minutes to bring our packages into the kitchen, then play with my granny's chihuahua. The dog wont take treats, but she loves to bring him a toy to play tug with and get some head rubs. Even my newest kitten got in the habit of running up to him for a pet now lol
Our mailman greets our dog when we are on our lunch walk. Sometimes we meet at our door on the way out, sometimes we pass him on the next block over. Every time, he stops and makes sure my dog gets his cookie. If we pass him twice, he gets a second treat, lol. My dog adores the delivery people. Even if they don't give him a treat, he's happy to take the pats :)
Now I don't feel so bad about my old hound always trying to get on our UPS drivers truck -- she's clearly not the only one!
My husband was a UPS driver and not only did he have his share of critter folliwers, he also rescued quite a few. Hevrevued an abused Tennessee Walket, who we had for quite a few years. Two goats , one little owl whose feet were froze to the ground, one almost dead severely dehydrated raccoon that we nursed back to health and numerous dogs. This was my husband's dream job, delivering packages was a sideline. UPS was always cool with his shenanigans too...great company to work for and now be retired from for many years on our little farm which helped to house the rescues.
My UPS driver also has treats for my little yorkies. Although they are in a fenced yard, he always makes sure to give them a pet, a pat, and a treat. They love him and look forward to his deliveries.
Our UPS driver is awesome he always has a dog biscuit for our dogs, and if he makes a delivery while we gone he leaves them on top of package by the front door.
We used to have a cat who would hide in the shrubbery and leap out at the mailman for a pat.
UPS is not postal workers - UPS and USPS are two, very different companies.
Yep, Parcel and Postal are two different things ;)

I can't decide if I want to drive the UPS van and meet all the lovely dogs or be one of the dogs who gets to have lots of treats 😇🐕😊💜💖
Wow, who knew 1 internet post could change my impression that much. Great post. Big smile over here now.
Also... very sad there is no page 2... 3.. 15 here.

The mail doesn't go through the door, it goes into a little chute, so it isn't so she can play with it...no, she has to see the post person. I think he waits for me to open the door so Bell can greet him, and it also isn't about treats because she's on the pudgy side and I ask people not to give her treats. She just loves him...plain and simple.
all those adorable furry faces made my day. we live in a 100 yr old house that has a mail slot in the front door. our dear departed partially blind kitty used to sit on the back of the sofa by the door and patiently wait for the mail to be delivered every day and then it carry it piece by piece all over the house. He never understood why there wasn't any mail on Sunday. We miss him dearly.
HEY SERGIU VLAD: YOU'RE REASONING?! BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T A CLUE AS TO WHY I DO THIS SO BE "VERY CAREFUL" WITH YOUR RESPONSE PLEASE! THANK YOU!
our Beagle does not have access to the drivers; but we thank them for their caring hearts!!!!
They should make dog carry bags for the dog to take the package to their owner
Wasn't a postal or UPS man, but the Schwann's man we had. He had a dog who had been abused and was scared of men and teenage boys and always acted so fierce when someone came to the house even though he was terrified. Greg was always so kind and understanding. He would walk in slowly so as not to startle the dog, then pull out a treat for him. Of course after he came back from the truck with the order the dog did the exact same thing. And got another treat. :p When the company took his route away to give to someone with more seniority my Mom told them what they could do with their route in graphic terms. (mom was just as ornery as the dog). I will say though when the new guy tried to stop by the dog acted worse than usual. I think he was mad it wasn't Greg too. And the new guy idiotically rushed toward the dog. You don't do that to an abused fear biter.
I wish I could share a nice story about my dogs and my UPS driver, but I have GSD's and the sound of the truck makes them go crazy barking. But I love all of these pics
Oh and I noticed in one photo there are two billy goats too, so there is goat love, not just dog and cat love from UPS!
Love this ! My dog had a UPS friend. I didn't know until one day they were loving it up in the backyard. Miss them both.
My hubs is a retired UPS guy and our grocery list included a 10 lb. box of dog treats every week for 25 years when he was working. Even after retirement we still go visit some of his favorite fur family on the road.
Yep, my husband used to feed a fog that belonged to an elderly couple who didn't have a lot of money and for quite a while, especially in the colder months, he'd get me to pack him an extra sandwich and he'd share it with the dog.
Load More Replies...Our mail-lady ALWAYS had treats for the dogs on her route - now that she's retired, my Mastiff/hound firmly believes every vehicle that even slows down near the box IS going to have treats :-) The new driver - first day - came nose to nose with her in her window - about had a heart attack LOL - they know each other now - but no treats from this one :'( Soooo I try to not have them out for their walk before the mail-person comes.
I would like to have a relationship with my UPs driver but he will not ring the DAMN bell!
My dog wouldn't care much about treats. He'd drop his frisbee at the delivery person's feet and wait for it to be thrown :) Too bad UPS usually delivers while I'm at work :( My pup LOVES playing fetch with visitors, even if it's just one throw!
We had a golden retriever named Max. He was such a sweet and very intelligent dog. He would always bark at the mailman when he came and the mailman would talk it the wrong way. One day I looked out and saw he swat at Max, if I wasn't out that door in a flash and all over him. I told him that all he had to do was say "Hi Max" and he would shut up and wait for a pat. From then on, they were friends and Max always greeted him and he always talked to him and gave him some love. Max also walked the kids down the fence line on the way to the bus stop and would wait at the corner of the yard for the bus to drop them off again so he could walk them back the other way. Thank you for these wonderful stories.
We had a small farm in Kentucky and the UPS guy was amazing. I needed to see this story today.
Me too, so much negative stuff any more. Love these stories.
Load More Replies...l wonder if the UPS company gives the drivers an allowance to pay for all the dog treats they give out..?? they should..
Nope, but many of the drivers happily supplied their own dog (and cat) treats.
Load More Replies...I wish a doggie treat company would offer a discount to UPS Drivers in Uniform and Mail Delivery people also in Uniform so that they are not so out of pocket for their kindness. Even if a short promo it would be such a nice thing to do, as they are also doing such nice things.
OMG I love, Love, LOVED this! It made me laugh, cry like a blubbering idiot missing my furkids yet with each new pic it warmed my heart and made me smile. My UPS & FedEx drivers are fantastic. Thanks for sharing this story and u bet i'll be following this on FB!

Years ago, I had a UPS driver who would randomly show up and hit on me. My dog developed a rather impressive hatred for that guy, and went bonkers every time he heard the truck stop in front of my apartment. The humorous part of the story is that the dog "trained" all subsequent dogs to go full-on "invaders are attacking the castle!" when they hear the truck, even though he passed away years ago. Each new dog picks up the habit from the current dogs, ensuring that I will always know when I am getting a package...even before the delivery person gets out of their vehicle.
I was once standing in the door for a FedEx delivery and our German Shepherd poked her nose past my leg - just her nose, she didn't get out or anything. That man took off running down our long driveway. I called after him that she was a nice dog, but he just kept running. I slammed the door loudly hoping he would hear it and stop running, but he just kept running. It was well over 20 minutes before he came back for his truck. Our UPS driver, on the other hand, was never afraid of our dog and she even got out and playfully jumped at him once, to which he responded very calmly as I caught her. I wonder if they get training on how to deal with dogs at UPS. Our postal driver won't even come up here, but I think we had one afraid of the chickens or goats at one point and that's their excuse not to bring packages to the house.
No, my husband worked for UPS and they didn't get extra training....the carry some treats thing seems to be common knowledge among them.
