We have all found our own ways to cope with the pandemic that never seems to end. But some things are universal. So to keep your spirits up and balance out all the negativity, we at Bored Panda continue our most positive series.

Below, you will find a collection of wholesome pictures that show there is good left in the world after all. We're talking Nepalese climbers removing trash from Mount Everest to firefighters saving animals; this list has everything it needs to soothe your heart. At least for a little while.

When you finish going through the pictures, there are more things you can do to make your day a little brighter. Sarah Helen King, psychologist and founder of Invigorise, told Bored Panda that practicing gratitude can do wonders for us.

"Keep a gratitude diary near you and each day just spend a few minutes thinking about one thing you are grateful for, and write it down," Sarah suggested. "Then, whenever you are having a bad day, whip it out and read it. Instant mood enhancer."

For Those Who Step Up

For Those Who Step Up

My parents split when I was in first grade. My mom met my step-dad, mark, when I was in second grade. We moved in with him by the time I was in 3rd we moved in to his house. He treated my siblings and I as his own since day 1. He even would watch Gilmore Girls with me and my sister every afternoon. After my mom died when I was 16, Mark didn’t make us go live with our biological dad. He continued raising us as his own. He started out as my mom’s boyfriend and became my dad, my best friend, my go-to for advice.

Mark ended up working 3 jobs while having heart failure, asthma, and diabetes. He did everything he could to provide for my sister and I. He passed away 6 days before I graduated college in 2016. It’s been a few years but I still have trouble on Father’s Day. He could have ditched us when our mom died and we didn’t have enough income. But he didn’t. He was there fighting to put food on the table. Happy Father’s Day for all of the fathers who fight for their children.

But you did it! I always think about how long I have been sober-whether its three weeks, three months, three years...even three days.....I just think to myself, " If I break down and do this, I 110% know I will have to get sober again. Is this-whatever it is insert here-worth having to live thru every single day of the past number of--days -weeks-months-years--, from day one, again?! Wish I had known about that thought six years ago( sober 8 years, and then six years...with two stupid days in between) re-living those 8 years, the first two I would not wish on the devil himself. If I had only known that, I would have eagerly suffered thru that first day I fell off wagon, hands down. I would have hung on to that thought, and called somebody, and been 14 years sober today. I have to look at it as, it had to happen to teach me that, and, so somebody I don't know "out there" will keep this thought with them, and it will save them from paying for one day or two, with doing years over.

I've got 14yrs. I wish I could tell you that after so many months it gets easier, but that would be a lie. I can tell you that some days, weeks, months, are way easier than others. I will also tell you this.....you deserve this. You deserve to be happy, healthy, loved, & respected in you sobriety. Don't let anyone tell you different. Don't let anyone make you feel less than because you're in recovery. I sometimes forget that I am worthy. Even after all this time. Keep on keeping on.

Sobriety is definitely hard the first few years ... you'll be perfectly fine, and then life starts going into chaos & you just want to medicate yourself, "Just this one time". Everyone relapses throughout their sobriety at some point. The rule is to dust yourself off, know that day was just a mistake, that you didn't f**k everything up by the one day. It's just the nature of the beast.

That's great - good job focusing. **here's the secret to life I've learned so far. Happiness has too many external variables that can affect yours. But JOY, doing things that bring you joy - playing video games, hugging your dog, any and everything that brings you joy at home is critical. Happiness can be upset easily, joy...the outside world melts away when you're filled with joy

I use to drink every six months or so before pandemic, but thanks for lockdowns and living alone I've managed to drink everyday, I wake-up everyday and first thing in my mind is to go to liquor store and grab a bottle of whisky. I've never been like this and now I can't control myself, lost quite a lot of weight and desire to do any physical activity, I use to cycle at-least 20 miles everyday now I'm lost. But I do know that there is hope, I wish there was professional help available but I think I'm on my own.

But when it comes to news, the psychologist believes the only way to stop it from bothering us is to simply not watch it. "This has been hugely effective for many of my clients in minimizing anxiety in their day-to-day lives," she explained.

"As an alternative suggestion though, give yourself a daily time (e.g 6 pm) and limit (10 minutes) where you will catch up with the day's events. If you are prone to anxiety, steer clear of clicking on headlines that you know will be a trigger for you, and then after do something you enjoy, like go for a walk in nature or phone a friend for a catch-up and steer the conversation to something positive that happened in the day."

Another good alternative is The Happy Broadcast by Mauro Gatti, an illustration project that showcases some of the most positive news from around the world.
