We have all found our own ways to cope with the pandemic that never seems to end. But some things are universal. So to keep your spirits up and balance out all the negativity, we at Bored Panda continue our most positive series.

Below, you will find a collection of wholesome pictures that show there is good left in the world after all. We're talking Nepalese climbers removing trash from Mount Everest to firefighters saving animals; this list has everything it needs to soothe your heart. At least for a little while.

When you finish going through the pictures, there are more things you can do to make your day a little brighter. Sarah Helen King, psychologist and founder of Invigorise, told Bored Panda that practicing gratitude can do wonders for us.

"Keep a gratitude diary near you and each day just spend a few minutes thinking about one thing you are grateful for, and write it down," Sarah suggested. "Then, whenever you are having a bad day, whip it out and read it. Instant mood enhancer."

For Those Who Step Up

For Those Who Step Up

My parents split when I was in first grade. My mom met my step-dad, mark, when I was in second grade. We moved in with him by the time I was in 3rd we moved in to his house. He treated my siblings and I as his own since day 1. He even would watch Gilmore Girls with me and my sister every afternoon. After my mom died when I was 16, Mark didn’t make us go live with our biological dad. He continued raising us as his own. He started out as my mom’s boyfriend and became my dad, my best friend, my go-to for advice.

Mark ended up working 3 jobs while having heart failure, asthma, and diabetes. He did everything he could to provide for my sister and I. He passed away 6 days before I graduated college in 2016. It’s been a few years but I still have trouble on Father’s Day. He could have ditched us when our mom died and we didn’t have enough income. But he didn’t. He was there fighting to put food on the table. Happy Father’s Day for all of the fathers who fight for their children.

But when it comes to news, the psychologist believes the only way to stop it from bothering us is to simply not watch it. "This has been hugely effective for many of my clients in minimizing anxiety in their day-to-day lives," she explained.

"As an alternative suggestion though, give yourself a daily time (e.g 6 pm) and limit (10 minutes) where you will catch up with the day's events. If you are prone to anxiety, steer clear of clicking on headlines that you know will be a trigger for you, and then after do something you enjoy, like go for a walk in nature or phone a friend for a catch-up and steer the conversation to something positive that happened in the day."

Another good alternative is The Happy Broadcast by Mauro Gatti, an illustration project that showcases some of the most positive news from around the world.

The us didn't fire a single shot during his presidency, had a balanced budget, was working to prevent climate change, and would have had universal healthcare like western countries not using Fahrenheit. In a parallel universe where Iran contra didn't happen the world would be a much better place

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! I'm a US citizen over 60, he was the first president I ever voted for, and I cannot stand the way his presidency is typically described. He wasn't the greatest spokesman for his policies and beliefs, and he was certainly unlucky, but he was not a "bad president" at ALL - and indeed, as you say, had he won a second term, the entire world would probably be in a much better situation today. Thanks Les!

Once there was a president who read the bits of the Bible about the early Christians being taken to court and asked "would there be enough evidence to prosecute me". Turned out that US Christians preferred a movie star.

President Carter is a gentleman. He DID NOT "give up" his peanut farm. He put it into a blind trust. He received it back when he left office. It was deeply in debt at that time. A reason not to put active businesses in a blind trust as they are run into the ground by the lack of activity. He took office with inflation at 6% and it was 14% when he left office. Not a good time. He ran a budget deficit every year of his tenure. When he left office in 1980 the federal funds rate was 20% and Car loan and home loan rates were in the teens.

President Carter was admittedly not one of our better presidents. Maybe because his ideals were too lofty for politics. He is & shall remain one of the best human beings to walk this earth. At the age of 9 I shook his hand on a campaign stop. I really didn't know the magnitude of that moment then, but for me now, I hold this as my best "celebrity" encounter. I hope some of that rubbed off on me.

Only because he wasn't self-absorbed, or willing to be deceptive and power hungry.... He is truly a good man who wanted to make things better. He is most notable, in my view, for not having allowed politics to corrupt him or his values. He is the kind of man that many would like to aspire to be!

he didnt give up his "peanut farm" he temp placed it in a trust, no different than every other president. It also wasnt a "farm" he was from a family that owned a major agri business and grew up super rich and still has family money. Also while building houses for the poor is fine, some of this other activities, including sharing the podium with antisemites, and even endorsing a book about global jewish conspiracies, etc, takes away from anything he did. He also was one of our worst presidents ever
