Now that the world is returning to normal, many people feel like they cannot keep up with it. Unclear vaccination status, fear of catching the virus, record rates of unemployment, businesses going bankrupt and uncertainty about the future have added many layers to the stress. But whether we like it or not, life twists are unforeseeable, and it's just inevitable we have to find ways to cope with whatever it brings us.

My Foster Dog Had Never Been Indoors Before. This Is Her First Nap, On A Bed, In A Home

My Foster Dog Had Never Been Indoors Before. This Is Her First Nap, On A Bed, In A Home

Sundae was taken from a dog hoarding situation — one man had 16 dogs (and a deceased dog’s body) in his backyard. The dogs had access only to a junk-filled backyard and a garage for shelter.

We’ve had her for about a week and you would never know that she’s never been an indoor dog before. She’s totally potty trained, incredibly gentle and she’s very polite indoors. She loves to sleep as close as possible to me in bed — I think she’s just making up for 8ish years of zero affection.

“The first recommendation I would make to increase positivity is reflecting upon your self-esteem,” she said. Asking yourself questions like “Are you someone who works too hard because you think it’s expected of you and you are attempting to be perfect at everything all the time? Does this or similar behavior stem for some unconscious issue deep inside?” may be extremely beneficial in getting to know yourself.

If you are ever tormented like that, read this poem “The View from Halfway Down.” Google it for proper attribution. Note how the author quietly shifts the perspective from 3rd person (an out-of-body spectator witnessing someone else) to 2nd person (hmmm… don’t I know that guy?) to 1st person narrative (OMFG, it’s… it’s ME!) right at the very end. 2F1651D0-5...b-jpeg.jpg 2F1651D0-523D-4681-90C7-5FE369101886-60a858a5bb01b-jpeg.jpg

People often survive jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge, but most of them drown, because they are unable to swim due to multiple fractures. If more poeple knew this, it would at least be another reason to hesitate.

Researchers spoke to survivors who had jumped off the Golden Gate and every single one of them said they regretted it after they jumped and were glad to have survived.. For those of you struggling out there please remember you are more needed than you think and you will be missed. Please don't do anything you can't take back. One person interviewed in the survey said after they jumped they had an instant realisation that everything in their life could be fixes except for the fact they'd just jumped off a bridge. Thankfully they got lucky and for them that could be fixed too.

Just seeing everyone's comments about seeing his story shows how much 1 person affects others. It's beautiful to see how his life is a positive for soooo many! If you're reading this and feeling down or even suicidal, know YOU are loved and affect so many people even if you don't believe you do. Just like this young man!

I’ve heard about him, he jumped off and immediately regretted it. Using information he’d heard about divers he managed to survive the impact, but broke his legs and back. Now he is a speaker and is responsible for many bridges now being safer (harder to jump off the side). He’s an inspiration!

A large percentage (the numbers are no longer published as they were considered likely to tempt others) of GG Bridge jumpers survive but then drown. The deck is 245 ft (75m) from the water. A jumper hits, after a 4-5 second fall, at about 75 mph (120 kph) and it's like landing on concrete. Their bones are shattered and organs disrupted but autopsies frequently show water in their lungs, a sign that they were alive when they died. A pretty horrible last few minutes.

The mind coach also suggests increasing collaboration with others, since many of us have found ourselves not wanting to talk with people anymore, “especially after long periods of not seeing people—it’s too easy to not restart (but you need to).” Making yourself social is a way to confront these anxieties, although at first, you may not feel like it.

And the last thing is never to underestimate the power of exercise. “Those endorphins coupled with a balanced diet really help to combat negativity and provide you with the energy you need to be motivated,” Lynn concluded. For those who are struggling with addictions or self-control, a pandemic is also a great way to look for online support groups and seek the help you have been postponing for too long.
