20 People Share What They Truly Think Of Popular Music
110Kviews
It is completely okay to have different opinions about music or food or anything else for that matter. It is also normal to not agree with one another. But there are some people in this world, who may have gone too far with their opposing views or are just trying to get on everybody's nerves. Recently, people on Twitter started sharing their unpopular music opinions, and some, while weird, are still acceptable, for example, standing by their love of country music. But then there were some who's opinion are simply outrageous, from calling the Beatles overrated to saying all rap music sucks, these people are definitely trying to stir up some arguments, and well, they succeeded.

I prefer video game/film music, I find it stimulates my imagination and is often well composed (John Williams especially)
Everyone should be allowed to listen to what kind of music they want! There's garbage modern music and there's garbage music made in the past
And then there are Garbage. ♥
which is actually a good band
@Naima Ivansdóttir No they don't say that, it's "nomen EST omen"
nomen omen as they say ;D
In general, you are right. However, someone(I can't recall who)once said something along the lines of "Bad music is bad, good music is good. It's not the matter of anyone's opinion." Trust me, I know songs that fit that bill. Some of them where written by the people idiots here listen to(the same ones that hate Pink Floyd and Queen and some others)
That's what I think, I always say 90's music is the most I like, untill I remember techno XD
People can listen to whatever they want. Doesn't mean it's any good.
I agree a lot of these are just people hating on other peoples music while I agree with a couple a lot of people don't!

and what that means is different for everyone...
When will we learn music and any kind of art is, in most cases, subjective? Yeah, there are really lots of examples of trash out there, but, once again, is my opinion, my taste in music.
On one hand I agree fully with you, on the other hand, I need to point out DD vs Starbucks syndrome, in which cultural learning takes place from known conformity, that the people in MA who grow up with DD coffee would grow up to believe that that's what coffee should taste like, while people in WA who's coffee exposure is primarily Starbucks would grow up thinking coffee should taste like Starbucks. The point is, radio stations and practically all commercial music outlet are largely controlled by the bean-counters, they are like DD and Starbucks, playing basically the same playlists over and over. That in and of itself has nothing wrong with it, except that coffee probably shouldn't taste all that much like either DD or Starbucks coffee, and it is important to support independent radio stations outlets because not all music (or like any art for that matter) shouldn't be dumbed down to binary of like or dislike.
I think I understand what u r saying and I agree. In this case, however, with the advent of tech and diverse taste in music of our peers introduce us to a huge range of different music and songs. From indie to pop, from classic to rock, today we have heard it all. But at the end, only the songs that speak to us, move us like no other song does, r the songs for us, which is again different for different people. However, having said that, almost all will agree that they love Beatles music, and songs like what a wonderful world.
More than a third of the listed bands/singers and/or their music are completely unknown to me. I feel so old now :(
I am still in school and I dont know these people...gaaaaaaah
