Comedian Pokes Fun At “Conservative Logic” By “Defending” 30 Of The Most Evil Villains
Comedy is one of those few things that seems like it will never hit the bottom of the barrel. As long as the world continues to spin, people will continue to come up with ways to keep everyone entertained through laughter.
Take Greg Larsen, for instance. The award-winning actor, writer, director, and comedian went to Twitter asking people to share names of those who are universally agreed to be evil. You know, people like genocidal dictators, serial killers, and just plain baddies, whether real or fictional.
This way, he challenged himself to defend them and their actions using “conservative logic.” And the internet delivered, bringing in nearly 80,000 likes and over 18,000 retweets, suggesting some of the seemingly most undefendable people (and non-humans) in history.

Greg Larsen is an award-winning actor, writer, director, comedian and podcaster from Melbourne, Australia. He’s best known for his work in The Grub Podcast, At Home Alone Together, Get Krack!n, and Tonightly with Tom Ballard.
Back in August of 2020, Greg went to Twitter with a bit of a wild idea—he asked his followers to name the absolute most evil people on the planet—people like genocidal dictators, serial killers, and the like.
The internet was keen to respond immediately after this tweet went live. Now, many were posting actual historical figures, like Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, and Kim Jong Un, but others spiced it up, suggesting more than just politicians and infamous people in history.
The list quickly grew with the likes of Joffrey Baratheon from Game of Thrones, Immortan Joe from Mad Max, Bowser from the Mario universe, The Borg from Star Trek, and many more.
Covid literally destroyed the annual influenza epidemic. Good on you Covid-19.

Yet others took a more comic approach and suggested defending the likes of Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, Wile E. Coyote from Road Runner, and Ursula from The Little Mermaid. There was even one person who put up a picture of Vegemite iSnack 2.0 and asked to defend the marketing guy who invented it.
The thread garnered nearly 80,000 likes with over 18,000 retweets and over 6,000 quote tweets in mere days. If you want, you can check out the whole thread here.

Actually now that we think about it? Is Satan even a bad guy. I mean he literally punishes the people that go to hell.
If he punishes people for going to hell then he would be a bad guy, because infinite torture for finite crimes is not moral. Thankfully Satan doesn’t actually punish people on behalf of Yahweh. He just lives with them and tries to get them to see the truth and join him in hell. In the Bible, hell is just being separated from god. Which seems like a good thing.

I both love and hate how accurate this is, oh my gosh. I swear, 95% of the conservative arguments I see on social media look exactly like this, and generally rely on logical fallacies instead of hard evidence.

Can we agree that by adding in or leaving out context on purpose, things can be skewed to manipulate the audience. If you want these things to not exist, start demanding that people in arguments/debates give all information, not just whatever suits their side of the story. If they don't do so, instantly agree with the other side. It's simple, people either want the unbiased truth to prevail, or to win for their own benefit only. Learn to spot the difference.

But he was using the arguments and logic that American Conservatives display....and the fact is that they DO say that the reason they are "bad" is because they are "leftists"...with NO other qualifying criteria. That is the point. They make no good points other than "Lefty=Bad". This was not supposed to be an ACTUAL defense of the villians...it was supposed to be a defense USING CONSERVATIVE LOGIC....and that IS the defense that they use 9 times out of 10.

Excellent approach, hits the nail on the head 👍🏻. I think the implied questions on Wile .E. Coyote and Joffrey are valid though. We know the intentions of Wile and his actions, that's not the case in possible edited videos. And the mentality of getting rid of anything deemed as bad at all costs sparked a lot of violence (from left and right). Questioning sources and actions of groups doesn't seem "conservative" to me, just a sensible thing to do
You're right, it is sensible to question sources. However, conservatives don't wait for the actual evidence to come out. They say "But what if the Roadrunner was being bad & Wile was acting in self defense!" & act as if that "what if" is the truth. They pretend to be questioning sources, but it's just an excuse to say "I'm right, you're wrong."
