In case you had your phone on airplane mode and didn't see the news yesterday, a passenger was removed by force from a United Airlines flight after the carrier overbooked their seats. The good people of the Twittersphere clapped back in the most hilarious way possible - by coming up with new slogans for them.
Fly the Friendly Skies, the company's current motto, didn't seem to apply to one man flying from Chicago to Louisville. The airline had overbooked the flight, a common practice used to ensure all seats are sold, and was forced to deplane him. When he refused, aviation security officers dragged him out of the aircraft, bloodying his face in the process.
Videos of the incident taken by other passengers have since gone viral, and this latest Twitter trend is set to create an even bigger PR migraine for United. Check out the best new slogans below, and throw us your own in the comments.

Airplane attendent: “Is there a doctor on board!?” Doctor: “Yes, I am a doctor.” I think we can all guess what happens next. ;)
I wonder if the good doctor's luggage made it to Louisville intact.
Father: “This is your father speaking, please enjoy our complementary [Put complement(s) here]"
Huh, guess when “New me 2017” happened they got a new clean slate... I should remember that for when “New me 2018” happens, and we all should know... It’s gunna happen. :P
Unfortunatly, you now owe that dude like a million bucks or something... seriously, he will haunt you!
United we stand, divided we fall And if your back should ever be against the wall We'll beat you together, together, you and I
now this took a long while to be said, but true as it was only asians that were taken off what sort of draw is that
What happened on that airplane was unforgivable & inexcusable, but it's kinda unfair to rip UA to shreds for the actions of a couple idiots.
I agree with you. One of my best friend's mom works for United at the ticket counter at an International Airport, and she came home in tears yesterday because of the horrible things people were saying to her. People can be ignorant and take things too far. If you work for a grocery store that recalls broccoli, are you going to b***h out the cashier for ringing you up? NO. So you shouldn't disrespect the staff in this case either when they are not involved.
Load More Replies...I really enjoy seeing the cleverness of people on the internet. In an age where some people rip everyone else to shreds behind the comfort of their screen, I love a good, witty response. Well done!
While I don't agree with the actions of those few idiots at all... you also have to remember he's not completely innocent either. He was not licensing to staff or security instructions, and was causing a big scene. He also has a really bad criminal history that could explain his actions: sexually assaulted a man that he hired continuously in exchange for drugs, getting his medical license revoked for illegally prescribing drugs, had to psychological training and evaluations, etc. and then eventually got his license back. I'm not saying is past is related to this (and the staff confirmed it wasn't), but it's also quite horrible and does explain his behavior. It's really a lose-lose on both their parts, it'll effect his reputation now that it's out and the open, and with United their stocks have dropped like crazy and unfortunately many of their staff (who have nothing to do with this) are getting harassed. What is wrong with our society now?... geez.
There's nothing in UA's rules that permits them to forcibly remove an already seated passenger from the plane. They participated in the illegal assault of a passenger sitting on their plane going about his business. He was absolutely within his rights to stay in his seat. They deserve everything they get, as would any other company that would contemplate assaulting a law abiding customer before being willing to part with a tiny percent of a percent of their vast profits.
Load More Replies...No matter who he is or what he did, he purchased the ticket so he has the seat...if the plane is overloaded, well, too bad! It's the airline's problem not his. I wonder if any of the passengers spoke up or just watched when someone got beaten.
At United Airlines luggage is our top priority our passengers not so much
