@Ian Bartels: Then do I ever have some great news for you, buddy! You see, I live in Canada, where we have no federal restrictions on abortion timing. None at all. Isn't that wild? Now, you'd think that would mean we'd have tonnes of people who just put off getting an abortion until the day before their due date. (I mean, we're all a bit prone to procrastination, aren't we?) But here's the thing that'll REALLY blow your mind: there is no difference in the rate of second- and third-trimester abortions in Canada and the US. 95% of all abortions are performed in the first trimester. Almost all abortions performed after that are for the pregnant person's health or because of birth defects in the fetus which could not be detected before that point. Crazily enough, it turns out that people who don't want to be pregnant want to be NOT pregnant as soon as possible.

For Republicans logic or any other sort of rational thought is some sort of Devil magic that needs to be outlawed.

Republicans are so f*****g twisted they have to eat soup with corkscrews. They then have to twist themselves into even tighter knots trying to come up with a viable justification for every one of their beliefs and prejudices. Watch footage of republican politicians who initially totally laughed at and dissed drumpf, then suddenly became sycophants. When questioned about turning on a dime like that, just look at how the cognitive dissonance makes them flounder and twist themselves into knots trying to explain their sudden change—-and it’s obvious none of them truly believed a word they were saying, and they f*****g KNOW how wrong they are. They don’t care that they’re wrong, but care greatly how it makes them look to potential voters. Like the thief who’s not at all sorry they stole, it is really really sorry they got caught at it.

Republicans are usually devout Christians and to become one you need to switch off the logic part of your brain.

That may be true of the average republican in the street, and may even be, as you say "most", but it certainly isn't true of the ones you've elected into power. The ones who *represent you*. That might be the cause of the anger and the downvotes.

No. Most republicans agree with abortion in certain situations and up to a few weeks. We don't agree with late term abortions.

Wrong, Phantom. Wrong. It is a fetus. It cannot survive outside the woman's body until almost near full term. Until then, it lives parasitically from the woman's body, oxygen, minerals, and blood supply. It is PART of her body, over which she should have complete control. Not the government, and most assuredly not people like you. But since you're in favor of controlling other people's bodies, I propose that the men who impregnate these women undergo forced sterilization. That sounds fair, right?!
