Cat Abandoned For Being ‘Too Ugly’, Finally Finds Someone Who Saw His Beauty
Romeo the ginger kittie was born with a deformity that makes him look a little different than other cats. That’s why he never got love and tenderness, let alone had someone to call his owner. Romeo was called ‘too ugly’ and no one wanted him. Until now, that is, because the kind fellows at Santuario Compasión Animal in Spain stepped in and gave this adorable kitty a chance to love and be loved! And so a much brighter chapter of the cat’s life began.
“They told us that no one wanted him because he was ugly. But for us Romeo is not ugly, he’s a lovely little kitten who likes to play like the rest of the cats. And their differences make them special,” A Santuario Compasión Animal spokesperson told The Dodo.
And all this time, the ginger boy was just as good as other cats – playful, affectionate, and absolutely adorable. All it took was for some sweet people to recognize that in him.

I find abnormal/deformed animals are often the kindest ones. I have a cat that was a runt and now that he's grown up he looks so weird and has a curly tail. But he is the most loving cat I have ever known, he follows me around all day and wants to cuddle, loves being pampered and fetches.
Same here. Gracie was the runt of her litter, and never grew to proper size. But she is the most loving kitty, and is never far from my side either ♥ And she turned out to be a low blood sugar watch-cat - without being trained.

I hope these "people" will never get a child with physical difformities. I can't even begin to imagine what they would do to him. Probably lock him in a room far from anyone's view or just abandon him in the nature. This kitten is not ugly (how could a ginger cat, or any cat in fact, be ugly?). He is unique.

If I could afford animals and I could have him (allergies really suck) I'd take that little prince and treat him like the royalty he is. We all love you Romeo.
Poor little guy. People are so superficial. They are cruel to animals or humans who look, act or think differently, but at our cores, I believe all of us living beings want love. I am not going to say he is a physically pretty cat, because he does look a bit strange, but he has very kind eyes which make him very attractive to me. I would have adopted him. :)

I once adopted a cat that the shelter deemed unadoptable, he was not the friendliest either but I knew one thing, he was the perfect cat for me, I had Spock for many years and he lived a long and happy life, I still miss him.

There seem to be some very over-compensatory comments here. The cats IS ugly in my opinion, but just admitting that does not make you some kind of monster that thinks the cat should be killed because it's ugly. Humans aren't monsters because someone didn't want an ugly cat - humans also adopted him!
My guinea pig almost died in mid 2013. I spent over $600 (luckily I could pay off my bill), risked failing two units at uni, and hand fed her every 4 hours. A year later almost to the day she got sick again and my vet discovered that she has Cushings. In the 20 odd years my vet has been studing and practicing he's never heard of a guinea pig with Cushings. So I saw a vet who uses natural medicines, and finially Pumpkin is stable. I would have done the same thing for my betta Saphire but I couldn't find a vet who treats fish.
