Dog With Two Noses Was Scheduled To Die But This Man Saved Him At The Last Minute
Nobody wanted to give Toby a chance. They couldn’t see his loving heart. All they could see was his double nose. Found wandering around in the streets of Fresno, California by an animal rescue group, he was taken to a shelter. Visitors kept passing by him so the poor thing was scheduled to be put down. He was counting his last hours when Todd Ray, Venice Beach Freakshow owner, stepped in.
“I thought he was the cutest and the coolest dog ever!” Ray told Bored Panda. He explained that he didn’t plan on getting a dog but he just couldn’t leave him behind. “He was running out of time at the shelter and I just decided he would come home with us.
“Toby is the Sweetest dog on Earth!” Ray added. “He loves everybody!!! [The two-year-old] enjoys playing catch and he loves to snuggle on the couch. He is totally healthy and doing great!
“The Freakshow was created as a place where anything is possible and nothing is normal. It exists to help bring Wonder back into the world…..to remind us that this is a magical planet and that life here comes in all types of amazing forms. We love to celebrate our differences! Toby visits [The Freakshow] sometimes for special occasions. Kids love him!”

What a sweet story and a great guy! Check out "My Name is Lentil" on facebook - a french bulldog has a cleft pallet which was repaired but he is the cutest dog - has a brother named Sprout with a crooked nose too. They have made it their mission to visit children with craniofacial deformities to show they are not alone. There truly are wonderful people in this world.
This lovely boy does NOT have 2 noses he has a birth defect called a cleft palate, which has not been repaired, if he had 2 noses he would have 4 nostrils he doesn't he only has 2. But he's still a sweetie.
Toby is absolutely adorable. I would have adopted him too!! Who cares if he has 2 noses... all the better to sniff things with, that's all, lol. ___ I don't understand why anyone would pass up a beautiful dog like that over something so silly. It's not like he has 2 different heads, after all. It's the humans who are afraid or whatever that have the REAL "handicap" - not Toby!! (PS - their handicap is in their brain, which is apparently far too small to handle thinking "outside the box") Thank you, Todd, for being the far better man!!
A few years ago, I almost applied for a Puppy from DogsTrust here in Scotland (UK) with a 'double nose'. He was a Belgian Malinois called Snuffles. He got re-homed several times, each time he was returned because he was too much for people. The charity had to keep moving him from centre to centre to centre to centre to give him more of a chance. He came to DogsTrust when he was around 6 months old, think he stayed with them for around 2 years ... not seen him on their website for some time. Poor Dog. If I could've applied, and they deemed me suitable (probably not because I live in a flat - which is a complete crock of sh*t), that Dog would not have left my life, ever. No matter how difficult he got. Hope you have found your forever home, now, Snuffles!
I love to kiss dog noses, whit this babe I can do it twice!! Thaks for save him!
That's a really wonderful thing to do. It's pretty sad that they were going to put him down just because the dog had a double nose though
This made me curious. Dogs are well-known for their smell senses, does this dog have an exceptional sense for smell, or is it just an unfortunate mutation?
It's actually one nose, but he has a cleft upper lip that caused it to split down the middle
Load More Replies...he doesn't have DOUBLE NOSE...duh people he is as same as humans with cleft situation..only in a dog's case...and why would they end the life of the cute dog...i pity those who condemn this lovely creature
Animals with disabilities aren't weird! They're special, unique and they're just as good as any other pet you can adopt.
Most ???? adopt or buy dogs for cuteness, intelligence. Some for security. Many don't adopt a pet for it's breed/disabilities.
Thank you for not being a typical aesthetic based human!! He is beyond AWESOME!! Please start him down the path of a therapy dog for kiddos with similar issues. Should you be anywhere near WV, I would TOTALLY help you with training. I am a behaviorist, typically train service dogs. But, I would TOTALLY work with this boy!! Love this story!! Also, I too am a freak! Chimaera here!! :D
Absolutely, positively awesome!!! How many people get to say that they've got a dog with two noses? Just About none. You're lucky to have him.
its not really two noses to say.... it looks like when he was born, his nose was split apart. (not intensionally... i mean he was born that way)
