A few months ago, an investigation uncovered a secret Border Patrol Facebook group. The group was filled with vulgar, sexist and racist posts that were made by federal border agents. From an obscene illustration featuring Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to jokes about migrant deaths, the content left many people completely baffled. And if you think that group was bad, well, as it turns out, TSA employees are no better.

Recently, NBC Washington revealed that Transportation Security Administration employees have their own Facebook group with 18,000 current and former employees called TSA Breakroom. The employees used it to vent about their managers, coworkers and of course the travelers who, in some cases, were described as 'idiots'. Posts were filled with hate, frustration, crudeness and racial stereotypes. While the group is no longer available, NBC Washington managed to gather some of the absolutely outrageous posts.

Even though TSA made a statement to News4 I-Team in which they stated that the page "is not affiliated with TSA" and "an employee's off-duty internet use must not adversely reflect on TSA", the posts clearly demonstrate problems within the institution. An audit by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General cited staff turnover, shortages, pay and “excessive use of overtime” as causes of lower job satisfaction and morale.

True. Or it's a disease and poor kid for that. Or she's just fat and poor her that her parents won't/can't start her life on a proper diet. I'm not saying they do it on purpose, but in any case, poor kid.

You do understand the person could have a disability or something, right? Get a life, mind your own business and stop cyberbullying strangers. Show a little respect. You don't know her, you don't know her life or her story.

Yes and she also might not. If she did she’d be in an adapted buggy. Maybe, just maybe, her parents are a******s and over feed her.

First, don't take photos of kids you don't know. Second, we don't know how old he is or if she has special needs. Have you ever tried to get through the airport with a 3 year old?

I had a student who was bloated from the medication that keeps her alive. Because of jerks like this poster and commenters, she was afraid to take the 4th grade swimming class that is required. The swimming coach assured the Mom that there would be no bullying. She also sent the mom a form for a fancy boutique store in the small town. That provided at two-piece that fit and covered like a 1 piece (school requirement) for free. They had never been able to find a swimsuit that fit due to the child not having normal proportions due to the medication. PE coach and I had a conversation with the one potential bully about how he needed to not say anything. I called another student's parents about the potential problem because their son was very empathetic but socially awkward. We gave him encouraging phrases to say and strict instructions to not say anything about people's bodies or suits. The little girl ended up having a blast amazing what compassion can do.

this is shi*t*, maybe that person has a disease. To shame someone like that on a group of thousands of people without having any idea about why they're in that situation is beyond stupid and heartless imo

Don't judge - we don't know if that child has something wrong? my friends son was big when he was younger - as in very tall - and people used to tell her all the time that he should be out of his pram. He couldn't even walk! And even when he could,he was still wee so for days out she needed the pram for long days out. People judge too easily based on what they see very quickly.

After the birth of my son the arthritis in my knees decided to break completely loose and I couldn't run after him or pick him up. I had to keep him in the stroller while we were out and about for that reason. He could run around all he wanted at home and in playschool. I did get a few comments but a pithy "get stuffed and mind your own business" usually got rid of them.

why dont you google it? :) Anasarca perhaps? Judgemental pricks like you is kinda a part of the problem with kids becoming bullies. Instead of asking and talking they point and laught :) Awesome there!

She also may have a metabolic disorder or cancer, or something that requires IV steroids to treat, all of which could cause this body shape and the required stroller don't be such a f*****g judgemental b***h

This is most likely a disease. The fact you simply posted this disgusts me. I have a regular where i work and her kid looks just the same. Swollen and can barely walk on his own so he sits in a stroller... This is so sad and embarassing to look at! It pisses me off...... That little boy who needs to sit in a chair all day would much rather run around and this post makes me mad....

Totally agree with you and very likely the case with this child. People who work with the public, should have to go through sensitivity training.

Then they need a bigger stroller! She's far outgrown that one. And don't quote cost at me. Whatever support group there is for that disease would buy her one in a heartbeat.

Our safety is in the hands of people who say things like "she old enough" and "a*s out that stroller". If you speak like this you are either a rube or a savage and should not be employed in a position where lack of competence or intelligence can jeopardize other people.

Except for the one posting the pic of the child (Hey, that was just mean!) These aren't so bad. Dealing with the public is NOT EASY! Especially when 80% of them have nothing nice to say to the person who's just doing their job.

And how about option that child doesn't have disease? Rather parent is control freak? Met few months ago girl who doesnt let her 2,5 year old daughter walk. Everywhere in the stroller and she is playing only on the floor at house, no playground or other houses floors. Kid is healthy, is getting fat quite quick now.

"Option"?? What the hell? Did you not get the gist of the original post? The implication of that post idjut is that the parent was f*****g up the child by allowing it to languish lazily in a stroller. We got it--you didn't.

Look you have no idea if this is a kid with disabilities. It is incredibly hard to get medicaid to approve an adaptive stroller even with tons of medical documentation so sometimes you have to make do.

Sorry, what exactly is wrong with this? The person is cold. There is a heat-source. Person is only proving that they're not a numpty by applying heat from source to cold extremities.

This is profiling, not racist. If a large percentage of travelers from China (usually Chinese) bring prohibited items with them, then a whole group not having anything is an outlier and worthy of a little nod. Nothing wrong with that.

SSSS = Secondary Security Screening Selection. LLLL = you're pre-check approved. I believe it stands for "Laptop Liquid Light-jacket Line" (ie the line where you don't need to remove your laptop, liquids, or light-jacket, in order to be scanned). (according to google research & the TSA-related websites)
