Our social media feeds often contain much more than just innocent puns and juicy innuendo. If we keep our eyes open, every now and then, we can notice important social topics popping up alongside funny relatable TikToks and mind-bending Twitter threads.

Even more so if we follow accounts that are consciously trying to make statements and spark discussions. Like the Instagram page 'Nasty Feminism.'

Calling itself a "leftist activism-based" online project, it unapologetically shares hot takes on a wide variety of issues, ranging from racism to migration and everything in between. Here are a few of their most popular posts.

Yah, I'm struggling to understand that too. Very much. And many of these are considering bleach injection or horse deworming medication. I guess this will remain the biggest mystery for me.

According to a 2020 Pew Research Center survey about gender equality, many of the values of the feminist movement have been accepted across the political spectrum in the United States, even among Americans who don't personally identify as feminists.

For instance, a majority of Democrats and Republicans say it is very important for women to have equal rights with men. Similarly, majorities in both partisan coalitions support adding the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

But feminists are much more likely than non-feminists to say the country has not gone far enough when it comes to giving women equal rights with men (74% vs. 39%). Feminists are also more likely to say the bigger problem is people not seeing discrimination against women where it really does exist, rather than people seeing discrimination against women where it really does not exist (81% of adults who identify as feminists say not seeing discrimination is the bigger problem, compared with 53% of non-feminists).

The researchers think these differences can be somewhat explained by partisanship: feminists are far more likely than non-feminists to identify with or lean toward the Democratic Party.

Overall, Democrats and those who lean Democratic are more likely than Republicans and Republican leaners to say gender equality is very important, and they are more than twice as likely to say the country has not gone far enough in giving women equal rights (76% vs. 33%). And while most Democrats (85%) say the bigger problem is people not seeing discrimination against women where it really does exist, a much smaller share of Republicans (46%) say the same.

As all movements do, feminism has evolved greatly since its beginning in the 19th century. Another 2020 Pew Research Center survey found that overall, the public feels the feminist movement has contributed to the advancement of women's rights in the U.S.: 22% say it's done a great deal and 48% say it’s done a fair amount.

But 43% of adults who say feminism describes them very or somewhat well also say the movement is polarizing, and 45% would not describe it as inclusive.

So like Nancy Pelosi and Bernie Sanders rich. Like 4 vacation homes rich. Like the leader of BLM rich. Like the President’s son being on board of directors for multi billion dollar companies with no prior business experience aside from being kicked out of the military for snorting Coke rich. Like passing a law where any account with over $600 needs reported to the IRS while they insider trade stocks based on the laws they are about to pass rich. Democrats literally vote for rich socialists who pretend to care about the poor as they make themselves even richer.

Funny... all ten donate hundreds of millions, even billions of dollars to left-wing causes and PACs (ONE also donated a tiny amount of money to a Republican), and AOC has yet to sign legislation that would affect them. (Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, Larrey Page, Sergei Brin, Steve Ballmer, Michael Bloomberg, Larry Ellison.)

How about we take politicians who complained about not being able to afford rent and asking for raises while driving 70000 dollars Tesla's. The kind that complain about their abuelas house and lack of government support but do nothing themselves to help her.

Yes but that's not what Biden and democrats are doing though. 400k a year maybe sounds like a lot but in some places like NY and California that describes hundreds of thousands if not millions of working professional couples that vote for democrats and are solidly middle class. If you really mean to tax the rich then start talking about $10 million+ a year people but you know that you won't get a lot of tax revenue from that crowd becuase most of their money are coming from investments instead of sallaries.

But....that is, was and always will be a half assed, solution. US government collects 1.4 trillion in taxes each year, roughly. 560 BILLION comes from the top 1% of earners 400 Billion comes from the next top 9% of earners 440 Billion comes from the remaining 90% of tax payers. The only reason these socialist countries can offer universal healthcare, 2 years of maternity leave, free college for all and all the rest of the things that people say they deserve for their 0-37% tax rate, stem from the fact that that these countries have tax rates that START at 50%, and keep going up. Make $10? You give $5 to the taxman. The combined wealth of all the billionaires in the US would fund the US healthcare system for 18 months. However, gaining an extra 10,000 in taxes from every working adult in the country would generate an additional 2.4 TRILLION. Yes, the rich need to be taxed more, but so does every other person in the country.

also explains why she has only a 21% approval rating in her own district but only won reelection because it is a 10:1 Democrat District where in a poll 70% said they would never vote for a republican under an circumstances. She only has her office because she won a primary with over a million in dark money, and wins reelection because her district is highly gerrymandered to be uncomptettitive. But the fact the Arab Muslim part of her district voted mostly for a White Trumper who was her opponent should speak volumes

Rich people should pay taxes, end of story. Instead, it's the middle class who pay their taxes, and the end of successful society is one with no middle class.

Rich people pay taxes. That’s what AOC is even saying. Mega billionaires don’t. She probably wants you guys to see the difference, which is why this whole entire tweet is about the difference.

However, Cynthia de las Fuentes, Ph.D., past-president of American Psychological Association's Div. 35 (Society for the Psychology of Women), thinks such negative perceptions derive from media distortion-not the movement's mission of equality for the sexes at work and at home.

She also believes that many simply don't realize that equality has yet to be achieved.

"A lot of young people think that women's rights have already been accomplished," said de las Fuentes, an associate professor at San Antonio-based Our Lady of the Lake University. "We've got Title IX; we've got laws against gender discrimination. But they don't realize there are still so many forces against women's rights, like reproductive rights and pay equity. We still have 73 cents on the dollar a man earns."

Luckily, as the popularity of this Instagram shows, people appreciate the reminders.

Yeah, I see those arguments a lot. Things like "He did have a counterfeit $20 bill!". AND THAT MEANS HE DESERVES TO DIE? Since when is there a death penalty on counterfeit bills? Or just on having priors? Or on sleeping in your bed? Even if someone is a real criminal, there is still a) no death penalty on their crime or b) a police is not a judge, jury or executioner and can't kill someone even if there's a death penalty on the crime.
