The internet is full of beautiful and amazing photographs, but do you ever stop and wonder just what went into that perfect shot? I'm not just talking about the digital manipulation side of the process, although there's certainly plenty of that involved. No, I'm talking about the physical hard work combined with the often super-creative approaches that photographers employ in order to ensure that their final shot is the very best it can be.

Take a look at these behind-the-scenes pictures to see what we mean. Compiled by Bored Panda, they're sure to give the budding photographer some fresh ideas while giving the rest of us an enlightening glimpse into the reality that hides behind many a perfect picture.

This post has photos in it that really don't belong. This photo is not even close to the "biggest lie ever"

How is that a lie? Because I'm not personally right in front of that fox?

The "fake" part is probably that this isn't a wild fox but a (part?) domesticated fox. And possibly meat paste smeared on the lens hood.

That's cute. Do you now how hard it is to get a wild fox to come that close?

I gave it a dislike for the category NOT the photo. It's a close up of a fox and when you flip it to see the LIE... It's still a close up of a fox! You can now see the photographer up close to the Fox! Duhhhhh!

In other words, I had a long telephoto lens attached to take pictures of animals from far away but the animal came close to me so that it was too close for the long lens to focus so I got a blurry picture of his face.
