What he's really experiencing is the feeling that he does not meet the old-fashioned gender stereotypes for men, and instead of understanding - or being encouraged to understand - that it's the stereotypes that are wrong because there is no 'way' to feel like a man, he is encouraged to trust his feelings because he really isn't a man. The assumption that the gender ideologists encourage is that as he doesn't feel like a man 'should' feel, then he 'must' be feeling as a woman feels, and is therefore really a woman born into the wrong body. It's just logic, innit! Well, no, it isn't. It's just a macabre new way of enforcing the old stereotypes, with the added bonus of messing up bodies as well as minds.

Your being transgender does not exempt you from being told the truth. You are a human like any other, and humans cannot change from one séx to the other. If you believe differently then you have either been lied to or you are ignorant of the basic facts of human biology. I mean, even CP, one of the most vociferous of trans ideologues, has stated here several times that trans people don't literally change séx; in fact, CP goes as far as to tell people that they're stupid for even suggesting that trans people believe they change séx.

Yes you did, when you talked about medically transitioning from male to female. Male and female are séxes and it is impossible to medically (or otherwise) transition from one to the other. At best one can modify the body to resemble that of the séx matching one's self-image. I make no apologies for speaking so bluntly because the consequences of people making life-changing decisions from being misled by the imprecise language around gender and gender identity can be catastrophic and irreversibly so. It is therefore vitally important that people are told exactly what is and isn't possible, and that information is NOT coming from those within the trans movement who are deliberately vague on the facts behind the rhetoric.

The proper term for surgically and hormonally transitioning is medically transitioning. Using medical things such as hormones and surgery, hence, "medical". And I assure you, it is not simple to make the decision to medically transition. You are much more likely to regret a tattoo, plastic surgery, or having a child, than to regret transitioning. On the other hand, transgender people who do NOT get the care they need are at extremely high risks of s*****e.

Yes, I know what the 'proper' term is and it's misleading, suggesting very strongly that the modifications are genuine cross-séx transitions. The high suícide risk claim is at best contentious, at worse an outright lie. Are you aware that speakers at a WPATH convention were telling delegates to play up the idea of suícide when counselling kids, because parents are more likely to allow kids to begin on the 'transition' route if they thought their kids were suícidal? And the other study you linked to in the hidden comment - the Amsterdam one - was specifically mentioned in the Cass Report because what it fails to mention when talking about low regret is that there was very little long-term follow up once surgeries were complete. It is easy to report that few people had regrets when they're not following up with the patients beyond a year or two post-surgeries so rely on self-reporting from those patients. There was, and still is, a dearth of long-term studies following outcomes beyond the initial 'euphoric' post-surgery stage, generally lasting a couple of years. Again, you are only being given half the story.
