This Toad Kept Coming To This Guy’s Porch, So He Started Making Him Tiny Hats

When the little boy of 43-year-old Chris Newsome’s friend lost his frog, the man decided to do something quirky, unexpected and toad-ally amazing – start taking pictures of a toad with a hat to cheer the little fellow up. While this may have started as a modest act of kindness, it turned into a real toad fashion couture extravaganza.

The man, who has background in graphic design, took some foam paper and demonstrated some serious arts and crafts skills, taking toad millinery to the next level. While some people started writing negative comments saying that the guy has too much time on his hands, Chris, who currently works as the Director of Web Services for a University, told Bored Panda: “The longest I spent on each hat may have been 10 minutes.” Take that, toad fashion haters!

The gorgeous Alabama-based model, aka a Fowler’s Toad, seemed more than happy to try on different hats, including that of a dandy, a street kid, a pimp, and a Texas boy. After the little impromptu fashion show and a photoshoot, the man sent the hats to his friend’s boy. While this didn’t bring his frog back, we’re sure it made the boy feel a bit better.

I love this logic: oh, a toad is hanging around my porch, I believe I will make him hats to wear.

Even toads need a champion to look after them. And they will repay you by helping eliminate those troublesome, but juicy, insects.

Oh my gosh!!! A toad always appears at my pond - inspired to start making him/her hats!!! First hat ever - a cute wide brimmed fruit hat decorated with tiny fake plastic fruit and held together with foamy fabric!!! XD I love it!

I hate toads. Interesting and fun idea but I would kill it. I am sorry but I live in Australia and I don't appreciate these creatures eating our green tree frogs. Not exactly their fault that they came here but I don't want our precious green tree frogs eaten ( Y . Y ) Please understand.

It's a fowlers toad, native to the US where i assume these pictures are taken so it's alright. Even cane toads in their natural habitat are fine, they didn't hop into Australia, they were brought here. So while I do hope every single cane toad in Australia ceases to exist, they do actually have a spot where they are meant to be

After being in relationship with him for seven years,he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him witheverything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that never believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily aga

The skin of amphibians is very, very sensitive and delicate. He should not do that

Just setting a foam hat on the toad won't hurt it. If that hurt it then just picking it up would kill it.
