Inside The Titanic II: Identical Replica Of Titanic To Set Sail In 2018
Clive Palmer has an unsinkable dream: to have a Titanic replica set sail sometime in 2018. The Australian businessman first began planning the cruise ship project in 2012, but the original launch was delayed. Now, 106 years after the untimely end of the big ship’s namesake, the Titanic II is planned to embark on its maiden voyage from Jiangsu in Eastern China to Dubai.
“The new Titanic ship will, of course, have modern evacuation procedures, satellite controls, digital navigation, and radar systems and all those things you’d expect on a 21st-century ship,” assures James McDonald, the marketing director of Blue Star Line. For example, the new ship will have a 2,700 lifeboat capacity for its 2,435 member crew, as opposed to the original’s lifeboat capacity of 1,178 for its 2,223 passengers. As for its interior design – it is supposed to be the exact copy of the original ships lavish riches. Hopefully, the Titanic story isn’t going to repeat once again!

Load More Replies...i love the titanic. i've always been interested in it and what happened on her maiden voyage. so sad but fasinating.
Never going to happen. I worked with him on the world launch and after. He has no money and the project is dead in the water. It's all a hype to take him out of the political spotlight in Australia along with his financial woes.
There are no known pictures of the Titanic's First Class dining room. The one shown would probably be of the Olympic's First Class dining salon (Titanic's sister ship).
My 5 year old grandson loves the titanic and when he found out. About number 2 he said that he wants to go on it
It would be quite a loss for 2 titanics to sink, imagine all the miney and beautiful furniture lost!
I don’t know if you are informed that I have great parts ( panels ) of the staircase 1st class and of the gymnasium of the OLYMPIC , TITANIC’s sister, OLYMPIC survived until 1935 when she was broken up. Then, the interior was sold in an auction. Parts of this auction went 70 years later to me. And it’s important to know: These parts were of exactly the same pattern as TITANIC’s panels and made in the same workshop as you can compare in the archive of the Ulster Folk an Transport Museum. Now, I’m willing to offer these parts for this project. If someone is interested in this, please contact: m.trennheuser@apotheke-differten.de
I love the story because I love history but feel bad for all of the people that passed away.
If you think Clive Palmer is building a ship as his Nickel Mine goes down the gurgler, you are sadly mistaken. Most of these renders look like they were ripped straight from the "titanic:adventure out of time" video game. Love that game
So much of this is first class. I wonder if they can find some first class icebergs like the originals that jumped out in front of the original Titanic.
