This Woman Drew A Comic To Explain To Her Husband Why She’s So Tired, And It Will Crack You Up
Empathy goes a long way. Especially when you and your partner have newborns to take care of. However, Mattea Goff’s husband Kris couldn’t understand why she was always exhausted in the morning. After all, they’re in this together, right? Making sure Kris gets it, Mattea decided to illustrate her explanation.
“My husband is a fantastic guy, but sometimes if you haven’t lived something, you don’t understand it,” Goff told BuzzFeed. “I’ve given [him] drawings before, but this particular set of drawings came from my lack of sleep and my desire to get my point across.”
Thinking there might be other moms who could benefit from showing their husbands the five-panel comic, Mattea shared it on Facebook. And she was right. As of this article, her post has already been liked by over 155K and shared by more than 205K people. “When I first gave the drawings to my husband, he definitely thought they were funny. But he’s just as surprised as I am that they’ve gotten so much attention!”
“I think these drawings really resonate with moms because the exhaustion is hard to explain to someone who hasn’t lived it,” Goff added. “But when you’re able to create a visual with pictures, it’s something that’s easy to share when you don’t have the words.”

Not every person on this earth understands everything, may be your BF/hubby working too hard and spending so much time in office to provide you with best of world has to offer, he comes home after doing 10 -12 hours of exhaustive work, play with child a little and goes in deep sleep. Simply start a conversation and let him know. Not knowing something is different then knowing and not understanding. May be these women are not worth of any relationship and should stay single for rest of there lives.
In my opinion, not understanding is fine, we're not all walking geniuses, right? It's the willing to learn (and listen, which should be mutual) that matters.

my wife and i we got 3 kids. and i Don't need a drawing to understand why she was tired when our kids were baby. if her husband doesn't understand why she was tired he's a moron. unless he thought his baby sleeps through the night without getting up.
Some men, especially those who didn't grow up in big families with lots of babies or young children, really are this innocently clueless. It's not a matter of being a "moron" its a matter of not having had the life experience of being around babies or young mothers. Good for you, you got it, but other men don't and its only a problem if they are given the knowledge and then are still deadbeats that don't appropriately appreciate their partner's struggles and/or don't do their share of the parenting.

Honestly, if my wife posted a look hiw stupid/useless my husband post on facebook I wouldn't be,very happy.
1: pump and bottle feed. It's quicker and you'll build up a supply in your freezer. 2: if you bottle feed your husband can help and it doesn't matter if his nipples are useless. 3: burp your child every time after they eat really each time you should be following these steps: Wake, change/check diaper, feed, burp, put back to sleep. I did this at 10pm, 1am, and 4am and then got up at 5:30 for almost a year. Men will help, you just need to give us the opportunity. This isn't the 50's anymore.
Apparently enough women on here don't want their men to help or think I "just don't get it". I've raised two kids doing want I stated above. I have the pride of knowing I changed the first diaper on both my kids and changed many more. I've been pooped, wizzed and thrown up on so.etimes in public and sometimes two of the three at once. What we did as a family may not work for you, but it worked for us. So iinstead of giving a thumbs down because I'm a supportive husband; how about you hate less mIm.

I didn't have a bio kid - I adopted, but she was a horrible sleeper, waking up 6-8 times every night, and only wanted me to comfort her and not my husband. He kept asking me why I was so tired LIKE HE DIDN'T KNOW I wasn't getting any sleep. HOW COULD HE NOT KNOW? We share the same bed ! It's just frustration from women that their husbands could be so clueless about what's going on right next to them.
Many men sleep like rocks and genuinely wouldn't notice if their bed partner gets up 8 times a night. Women tend to have more sleep issues and to be lighter sleepers(the theory is that its an evolutionary function linked to our need to feed babies at night), the genders are biologically wired to sleep differently :(

I used to wake up the Husband most nights so he knew I was awake. He was actually very good at helping in the middle of the night, especially at weekends. I do think it's a little sad that she felt she needed to do this tbh but loved her way of getting her point across.
Because this article revolves around the fact that the mother has sleepless nights based on the biological fact that her breasts produce milk to feed the baby, while her husband's breasts are useless, hence rendering male nipples useless as well. I think she was just trying to be funny.

The point made in this post is a very good detail to highlight. Certain fathers, I suppose have no clue on specific sacrifices women make while raising a child. Take breastfeeding in middle of the night for example or the father working very long hours at a job. That being said, in my opinion on balance both parents regardless of circumstance make seemingly unsung or unappreciated actions all while raising a child. Only in retrospect, with experience does any one of the two in the relationship come to the realization that both made their particular contributions to raising a young person.
Well, this might sound stupid, but more than making him understand, she could even involve her husband by asking him to give a bottle to the baby. And for those who think that mother's milk's the best, yes, it is possible to fill up baby bottles with mother's milk.
Pumping is a huge waste of time unless it's your only way to get breast milk in your baby (formula is fine too, but some people really want breast milk only if their baby can't nurse correctly and so they pump). Pumping takes 20-30mins, not to mention washing parts, washing bottles, warming bottles, etc. And you still have to express milk some way at night, which means either pumping or nursing several times a night. So bottle feeding a baby to 'help' so the mom doesn't have to nurse isn't really helpful at all.

Yet again another sad, sad post from a woman who doesn't seem to realise her man knows why she's tired and just doesn't care. I'm in this situation now and my husband always wakes up when the baby cries, because it is HIS baby and he gets the same immediately stab of fear something's wrong that any humans gets. Any man would wake up to their baby bawling beside them - then they have a choice about what they do next. Help or stay out of it. It's not that her husband doesn't understand, he just doesn't care.

If you are not drunken or drugged, this is perfectly safe as long as you have a hard matress and do not put the blanket over the baby. Parents "rolling over" their babies is a myth.
