Three Girls Notice This Man’s Suspicious Behavior In A Restaurant And Save This Woman From Rape Attempt
Charlies Angeles has some competition – three women in Santa Monica saved another woman from getting date raped by her friend and people have dubbed them as heroines.
Sonia Ulrich shared the story of what happened when she and 2 of her friends, Monica Kenyon and Maria Saltzer, were having drinks at a restaurant.
While attempted rape by a friend sounds like the most shocking part of the story, according to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, 7 out of 10 rapes are committed by someone the victim knows.
People were amazed with their bold rescue

Share on FacebookUnfortunately, due to a "bad warrant", a judge dismissed all charges but one- felony poisoning, and his bail was dropped to $50k. The story is from 2016, but there doesn't appear to be any new information if the guy was found guilty or not, or if even the last charge was dropped.
That is unfortunate. However I will gladly sigh a minute of relief for this one victim even if he doesn't get the appropriate punishment. And I will hope (although with little confidence) that it was enough to scare him and prevent a repeat performance.

"us men", speak for yourself buddy, i'm no rapist and would of torn this guys f****n head off if i had seen him do that to any woman. Disgraceful.
Load More Replies...Wow! Proper heroes! And good for them to post it too for us all to think about this and not be afraid to act. I also like how they praised the manager/staff of the restaurant. I really hope they get some good publicity and customers because of it (and a raise!). They totally deserve it.
never get it. Not only it's criminal, but what's the fun to have sex with someone who's not willing to do so?
It's all about power and control. Being able to do something so cruel to a person who can't resist. It gives the creeps a rush.
Load More Replies...It's frightening how many similar stories emerged around them. That's probably a relatively small sample size, which means that this kind of thing happens more frequently than most would assume. And that the guy was one of her friends just makes the story ten times worse. On a date with a guy you barely know, you'd be on your guard. But who would suspect their friends of spiking their drink? Utterly disgusting.
there's more of us out there than most people think.

I'd actually like some follow up on this. Just read today that a judge gave a rapist no jail time and he didn't even have to be put on the sex offender registry. If this guy gets jail time, I'll be shocked. Our system is a joke when it comes to this type of thing. Especially if the judge is a man.
The story is from 2016 and there is no more news about the case.
Load More Replies...I am glad they stopped it, but really, did it need to go on social media? Can no one do anything without posting it for everyone to see?
I guess putting some real life stories on social media will at least make people more aware of what can happen and identify the signs more readily. It might be wishful thinking but if the authorities are shown how many times it happens then perhaps they could bring in laws / modfy he legal system and victim support ect. It raises awareness of these seriously bad crimes.
Load More Replies...Wtf dude...poor girl, glad those three women were there to stop that s**t. See something, say something!
True heroes! The world needs more people like this, to stand up and say something, instead of staying quiet.
I'm an openly gay man. Now back in the day I was a bar guy and liked my drink. I had to gone to this bar just off of Castro Street in San Francisco, called Mobie D**k, fun little family bar with pinball machines and a HUGE fish tank and nice bartenders. I loved going there until that fateful night. I ran into this guy I used to like way back from the bar called "The Answer" in Redwood City (where I still live). We started talking, I bought a couple of drinks for us and I asked him to watch my drink while I went to the bathroom. I come back, drinking, not knowing.. next thing I know I'm in his van and he's raping me. No lie. Dropped me off at my apt, I guess I told him that and that's the last I ever saw of him. I hope he burns in hell! I hate men like that! Not all men are evil but there are some that should be banished from society or chemically castrated!!
It happened to me at a Christmas party but the second I felt weird I had a girl friend take me home. I knew something wasn't right. I had only drank one rum and coke. I felt like I had drank down an entire bottle of tequila. I didn't eat so for the first few mins I thought maybe I should eat but I never got that far. Even my friend knew something wasn't right. Desperate disgusting men who get caught should be branded on their foreheads that they are Date Rapers !!!!

That famous comment about how the world goes downhill, or something, when good people stand idilly by and do nothing, to right a wrong... well, not that night! Great work ladies!! Fearless and happy to do the right thing! Thank you, for all the women who will now pay attention to their drinks a little more closely. Even around male friends. You should get a medal! WDSTHW medal. Women doing something to help women. Keep up the fantastic work. ❤️❤️❤️💫💫💫💫
Well gladly as a bloke speaking honestly it's not something I would ever dream of doing - for many many reasons and I'm saddened as a bloke that it's mostly or always men that want to do such a thing. And to a friend also....... I could go on.
What was so "heroic" about what they did? Nothing, they did what any decent conscientious person would do. Has society slipped so far that everyone who does the right thing is a hero? We should save the word hero for those that really deserve it, the ones who serve our country, and our communities, we need stop making everyone who does the right thing a hero.
I think as a society many people have become so involved in their own little worlds that they are afraid to act in moments like these which is truly sad. I agree that hero as a term is overused but sometimes “Good Samaritan” doesn’t seem strong enough. It’s like we need another term that represents this type of scenario.
Load More Replies...I remember on some hidden camera type show (what would you do) they had this scenario play out to see if anyone would do anything and shockingly, even though many people clearly saw this guy drug her drink, only one person ever even alerted the girl, and NO ONE said anything to the man or managers or anything.
Not sure why the tape was needed in order to call the police. If they were called on suspicion of poisoning/drugging someone, then the police could take the drink and test it regardless, couldn't they? I mean, having the tape was great, but doesn't seem like that should have been the deciding factor in calling the police.
The tape is absolutely needed. Without it, the guy could claim he has no idea how the ecstasy got in there. He could say it came that way, or another patron in the establishment did it, or even say the girl herself did it and is blaming him. Having a tape depicting the guy in the act is the most important piece of evidence. The toxicology report of the contents shows what he added to it.

In addition to all the comments here - why would anyone want to go with someone else when the "Victim" is drugged and incapable? Just showing a point of view in its basic form. But it's a shame there are no punishments like castration!!!!
Men like this ,sometimes make me feel ashamed for being a man ! Even though I would never in a million years stoop to something so low !
Reading the comments below - siiiigh. Yes they ARE "heroes" - they may have saved this girl from being killed! Yes, they DID "risk" - if the man had been a different sort - he MAY have come after them! THEY spoke up - would YOU have???? Heroes come in all sizes, shapes, and events.
I'm so glad you witnessed it and then followed up with it like that. It is so disturbing that she thought he was a friend, yet that didn't prevent this predator from trying to drug her without her knowledge. My hat's off to you ladies! You did something and prevented a crime!
Sometimes it's hard to believe what kind of world we live in. I can't even understand that mentality, and that's coming from someone who was very unconfident around women before I got married. Well done for those ladies!
Great story - BUT it wasn't three "girls" it was three WOMEN.
"Marnee DeRider 14 hours ago Nope. Hero is someone who risks their lives for others. They did the right thing. That is all." Bumping this comment because lefties don't agree so they downvote. I don't see why these girls are virtue signalling and wanting hero status for being normal humans.
What's with the titles calling grown women "girls" all of a sudden. Two posts in a row now.
I dunno, the hero's I know don't need to seek recognition for what we are all capable of. Common sense and empathy would see any decent person intervene. I'm getting tired of people seeking viral confirmation for what I consider a normal response.
I totally see what you're saying, but I'm glad for posts like this because it raises awareness about these situations and encourages people to say something if they see something.
