Thats not how I’m experiencing it today. My kids have a giant touch screen board which has WiFi access in the class room. They spend more time on research group tasks then I spent on in college and are taught to dream big and get the confidence to achieve it. And they are all under 10 years old.

Dayum, hun. Don't think like that tho. Depression is a cycle. An endless cycle. All you can do if introduce new things into your life in hopes it'll break the cycle up a bit. You'll never always be happy, but that doesn't mean you should constantly put yourself down with negative thoughts. Get a puppy or kitty or a bunny if you need to know someone does depend on you. Or write a story and post it in chapters online, your fans will depend on you haha.you don't gotta believe in yourself just yet, but you can believe in me. The one who believes in you. I'm sure others appreciate you, even if they've been bad about expressing it lately~

I loved school at every age, I never felt this way. I always thought summer break was too long. And as an adult I went back for evening classes just for fun. I guess to each his own.

So apparently this person thinks TV rots your brain, social media makes people "sheepeople", religion sucks, and they feel depressed. They also live in the UK. My advise, stop watching crappy TV, religion isn't bad; some extremist just make it seem that way, most people just want to fit in and connect, eat more avocados, take a walk and get some sunshine. Life is all about perspectives. Change yours and it will be better.
This person must really hate school. Must have had a bad experience at school.

I don't get this "artist" at all. Some images say you need to read and educate yourself more, but then when a kid goes off to school to read and get educated its portrayed as doomed and prison and confinement which makes zero sense. it's too polarized on the artists personal beliefs are, too small minded.
That would be because of how the education system fails so many people by not being prepared to cater to the fact that we all learn differently, not to mention how many kids go through large amounts of strife due to bullying and segregation. This person obviously had a bad time at school and uses their art to express this, a lot of people really lack in the understanding of others.

I get what the illustrator is trying to say about today's public education. Currently, the school systems seem more bent on creating sheep than allowing kids to be creative. If the kids don't fall into the mold of what is considered acceptable academics, then they are ridiculed, medicated and set apart as being difficult. School is now more of a military setting where everyone is expected to conform. That's why I praise home schooling as a way to let your kids learn at their own pace while focusing in on their dreams and talents. Instead of creating mindless machines that take in data and spit out expected results, home schooled kids can step outside the limitations of learning what everyone else does and explore more information to reach new solutions.
