Thirsty Dog Is Carrying A Bucket And Begging For Water After Drought Hit Peru
This video of a thirsty doggie running around Lima, capital of Peru, begging for some water with a bucket in his mouth has gone viral, stirring emotions all around the world. The unnamed canine, who was filmed in the district of Chorrillos, is one of the victims affected by Lima’s latest water shortage, which has already left 75 people dead and led to more than 1 million Peruvians being forced to abandon their homes.
A water company called Sedapal suspended their supply of drinking water in the capital of Peru, after the water was confirmed to be contaminated with mud as a result of severe floods in the area. The company is said to be doing everything it can to solve the problem. Meanwhile, huge containers of water have been put in different parts of the city for people to share.
Still, this poor doggie obviously took it into his own hands – or rather, jaws – to make sure his water needs are met. What a smart dog with some serious skills and strategy!

Share on FacebookThe fact that they keep filming and laughing annoys me... But yeah, everything for a couple of clicks and likes... :/ How about you run to a store or wherever and get this dog some water instead of filming?
They are laughing b/c they think it is cute, but basically asking eachother what he is doing, the man says he doesn't know, they are talking about his bucket, and they ask him a few times "where is your home," obviously the dog can't reply. Then it sounds like at the end, she's asking someone if the dog is hers.
Load More Replies...For those of you not watching the video: He has water in his bucket. The people in spanish are speculating what he's doing, they ask him where his home is, and towards the end the woman is asking another woman, if he is hers (or so it sounds). My suspicion based on the video, is this dog wanders around, and brings his bucket with him because he's smart and knows he's unlikely to find water organically, so having a bucket handy with water in it, is smart. That doesn't take away from the animals (and people) who really DO NOT have water. This pup does.
It's amazing to me that people (A) Don't watch the video but wanna run the mouth anyway. (B) STILL don't get it by reading the comments (C) Don't see the water sloshing out of the bowl. (D) Make STUPID TITLES that mislead folks about the content. (E) THERE IS WATER IN THE BOWL!!!!!! :-o
Seeing that the bucket the dog is carrying seems to have more water than the dog can handle (it spashes out whenever the dog turns his head) I think is quite alright that someone picked up his/her camera and shared this online. That being said, like many others I find it sad that so many domesticated animals are living on the streats roaming wild.
if you guys watch the video he does have water in his bucket
Why are the deaths and displacement of so many people being overshadowed by dogs with water and people cancelling their vacations? Dogs are cute, yes, let's post videos about them, but the people of Lima and Peru deserve their own headline as well, not just a secondary story.
Chill people... did anyone notice how lush and green the grass is in the video? (I might be out of the loop but in the old days... it takes water to keep grass and plants green) The only thing that angers me is how we are manipulated to believe and feel something negative. Don't be quick to fall for it. The internet is full of those type of stories.
I don't even know where to start. The clean water supply all across Peru is non-existent because of flooding throughout the country due to El Nino. The lack of water for citizens, the death and displacement is all absolutely real and happening right now. The title of this video isn't accurate, but the description of people dying is. The rich have bought all the clean water reserves and are selling them at 10 times the cost. This has been going on for over a week.

It's sad that all they could do is laugh! The poor pooch is thirsty!
I don't know who film this but I really want to slap the s**t out of them how can you be this stupid ! This dog is asking for water and you are filming and laughing at him, I can't believe where this world is going.
i pray that we can all be compassionate not only to fellow humans but to animals as well. i also pray for homeless animals be fed, sheltered and be blessed by God.
Oh my god how could you not give him water? I mean, I guess a drought hit so priority is thought to be people but dogs are just as important as we are! They should have given him at least half a bucket full, cared for others as well as themselves. I would have went thirty just to give that dog some water.
F*****g annoyes me that no one helps but just stand there and film this s**t! I hate Peru
Sad that even a dog has to go these measures to get water ( ' ^ ' ) I hope the water shortage can be fixed soon... Is there any fundraisers or something?
I'm really annoyed that nobody stopped to give him some water. I get that water is very scarce, but the people around him don't look like the people who would die of thirst - I'm assuming the victims are people who could not afford to pay for the water that was supplied. The people on that video have nice clothes, a phone to film the scene and seem farily happy and not worried. Why couldn't they stop and give him a bit of water, fill his bowl and leave knowing that the little dog won't die of dehydratation tonight? That's disgusting.
HE HAS WATER! no, you dont get it. its not that water was scarce it was totally cut off for 5 days. it had nothing to do with money it happened in the whole city even in rich neighborhoods. There was no water at the stores or at homes. YOU COULD NOT BUY WATER. there were water filled tanks all over, where you had to go with a bucket, just like the dog. The dog had water in his bucket. You are actually the disgusting one, you much rather ran your mouth on the internet without any knowledge or information just so you can get attention. inform yourself, then comment. peru is going thru hard natural disasters and people try to find silver linings and happy moments all the time, just like in the video. you can take your white, uniformed priviledged a*s elsewhere
