And there’s a guy named Sidneyraz who basically won the internet for sharing these kind of tips and tricks with his huge audience of 3.3 million followers on his TikTok channel. Sidneyraz set out on a mission to “tell you things I didn’t know before I was in my 30s,” and so it’s basically an open offer to learn from his journey to know-how, aka slip ups, rather than learning them the hard way.

Not on all cars. Admittedly, I've always driven older cars, so maybe that's a thing on newer ones. My current car is 17 years old.
It also depends on the car's class. Usually higher priced/bigger cars have this feature, small/cheaper ones not.

I hink unless it is really old (like 20yrs plus), at least the bigger ones all have this feature. If it does, the switch is usually underneath the steeringwheel. It's not obvious and you need to fumble around a bit.

They don't on any of mine. I have one that adjusts up and down only. The other two have fixed wheels. Backwards and forwards requires a pair of tubes that slide in and out of one another and although it was invented a long time ago, is not that common. Up down requires a universal joint and they are more common now, as they are part of the safety mechanism that pulls the wheel away from you in the event of a crash.

That's wonderful! From personal experience, it's REALLY good to know how to check your oil, ATF, windshield wiper fluid, etc., not necessarily so you can do all the maintenance "on your own" but so that you won't get fleeced by an unsavory mechanic. I'm female (well, technically) and my dad still taught me all he knew about cars. I know how to change brake discs, tires, fanbelts, and how to do an oil change. I never dare any of it myself on my ridiculous beast of a Volkswagen van, but I know enough to know when the mechanic is trying to overcharge me. Plus - dad wisdom is invaluable and to be treasured :) I wish my dad was still around (sustained catastrophic brain damage when I was 18, so he's been "gone" since then, though his body lived until last year).

Not all. My husbands only goes up and down. Some don't even do that.
Not all cars have a telescoping steering wheel, most do but definitely not all.
Not every car. But my 1976 Ford did, so this has been around for a while.
I drove a VW New Beetle for 10 years. Raised and Lowered the Steering Wheel many times and NEVER knew the Steering Column “telescoped” until I went to sell it and the buyer hopped in and immediately pulled the steering wheel closer (as well as down) totally leaving me feeling stupid. Luckily I’ve got super long arms and it had always been in the spot I’d have set anyway. When I told my wife she said, “of course it does that”. It made me feel like I had doubled down on the backgammon of stupid at that point.
more advice: "When you rotate the steering wheel the car's wheels will also rotate in that direction! Very useful when making turns, guys!"
Have never seen this. Up and down, yes. Forward or backward? No. Sounds cool for peeps with different arm lengths.
Why are so many people behaving as though there wasn't a time you didn't know a lot of these things either? Knowing a steering wheel may be telescopic or that sun visors extend is not something one knows until they are shown, read it in the manual or figure it out by accident. Regardless, there was a time you were ignorant about it so there are understandably others who are in the same boat. It isn't impressive to demean someone by thinking you're more intelligent simply because you know visors extend. Geez.

So many of these are either wrong or misleading. I haven't actually seen the videos themselves, which got me wondering whether it's possible that this guy actually includes a lot of caveats and exceptions in his videos that are not being communicated by THIS site in their headings for each item. They might want to think about that if it could lead to people damaging their property or getting injured.

The powder fumes is so fine, that they can easily explode, them put them into a coffee grinder with metal blades and an little engine to mix fast. Suddenly you have explosive powder and a really hot metal piece.
