There’s nothing quite like being in your own company. It’s a pure judgement-free zone—no pressure to show off, no expectations met by reality, no strange looks given as you’re voicing all the nonsense out loud in an empty room.
And interestingly, some of the most unusual behavior happens while we’re on our own. In fact, the things we do are so random, we don’t really talk about them. Ever. Like doing a remote trace or aligning your feet to the tiles so you won’t die.
Bored Panda has compiled a list of all the odd things we all do but never dare to tell, not even in truth or dare. And you know what? It's better off that way.

Walking Up A Hill
Appreciating Music
Staying Sleepy
Humor plays a vital role in younger generations’ communication and media consumption. But Gen Z and millennials are renowned for what’s called absurdist, surrealist, and often dark comedy full of dank memes and observational one-liners.
In order to get this sense of humor, one has to understand the context in which the youngest generations came to live. In the past decade, the world has been bursting with information which is “both more accessible and less reliable,” writes The Washington Post. “Brands pose as a friend on social media to millennial consumers, and the line between real and artificial matters less than it once did.”
Passwords
Brain Freeze
Birthday Greetings
Another explanation is that such surreal humor is a response to a world that has stopped making sense. According to Andrew DeYoung, the director of 555 and editor on The Eric Andre Show, the Adult Swim school of comedy is designed to “reflect the frenetic distribution of information on the internet.” And that’s why most of their shows are so chaotic and absurd.
Since there’s no time for a narrative joke to be said online, traditional punchline structure doesn’t work. “Instead, things are funny because they are willfully jarring and strange,” writes Rachel Aroesti for The Guardian. Weird Twitter and bizarre dank memes are perfect examples of how millennials break down the joke, decontextualize it, and create utter randomness.
Picking A Song
That is definitely a hard one but considering the situation I would be in that I had 6mins to live, I would probably listen to Always look on the bright side of life from Monty Python.
I would listen to Hedwig's theme. Or the first 6 minutes of it anyway.
that's a little odd, but i respect your decision
Load More Replies...I would spend those 6 minutes at school since when I'm at school every minute feels like an eternity :D
I would play a song my whole family would like like Happy so they wouldn't be too sad when I died
I’ll be 73 in a few months ... a few years ago, I got so tired of that question when friends get bored, I decided that my fav song is: “Itsy Bitsy Spider.”
Wayfaring Stranger...probably the Version by Rachel Hardy and Kaiser Cat Cinema
She's like the wind. Patrick S. By the way, I gonna listen twice to all the songs every one picked. Once with original video clip and another time with lyrics. Can't avoid, 🙈not much happening at the moment 😜
I would spend my last 6 minutes hugging my dog and mother and sister and telling them how much I love them while Moonlight Shadow by Mike Oldfield played one the background.
If I suddenly learned that I had only 6 minutes left to live, I doubt that the first thought to come to my mind would be, "Quick! Pick a song to listen to!"
Mine would be "I Am, I Said" by the great, one and only Neil Diamond.
"You'll follow me down" by Skunk Anansie, and hope to go out on the upswing of Skin's amazing vocals.
Light shine bright by tobymac ft hollyn ...for sure , hands up. (Yes I said up)
"Dancin' in the Street!" Only Martha and the Vandellas can pull that one off!
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild theme six times. It's one of the most beautiful themes in a videogame
I'm that way with netflix. I often eat my food just trying to find something I can commit to. I have found a middle ground. Just look at the samples they provide. It's a buffet.
Someone saved my life tonight... elton john. Or Air on a G-String Bach.
Probably that song, Finally, by Cece Penniston. Finally, it’s happened to me....🙃
ahhahahahaha trying to pick a movie to watch.....spend your whole 'movie watching time' trying to find one worth watching...
You’ve got a friend or Imagine would probably put me in the right frame of mind.
Kind of depends on how you interpret that question. For instance the last song I'd listen to would be The Birdy Song, or, There's No One Quite like Grandma.
YES!! Laughing so hard I have tears!!!!! Conner, we need to be friends!
Stressed Out by Twenty-one Pilots (it's appropriate for the occasion and my favorite song)
If I knew I had only 6 minutes to live, I doubt that, "Quick! Pick a song to listen to!" would be the first thing that would come to my m ind.
For me..it would be something from Journey or Bob Seger (Turn the Page)
This is the song that never ends it goes on and on my friend etc etc u never die IMMORTALITY
My CD collection has a lot of music by Tom DeLonge, so it'd be anything blink-182 did before he left, AVA, or BCR.
If I'm going to die, regardless? Stay by David Bowie. It's 6:17, and fades out on a funky vamp, so why not?
But rem it's the end of the world as we know it seems more appropriate.
Load More Replies...Txt my husband i love him, then the extended remix of Sandstorm by DaRude
I need to look up real fast if Tool have any songs under 6 mins, in case this would ever become a reality. Otherwise let's go for "Today" by the Smashing Pumpkins.
"Something upbeat!" Or maybe not, the horror of the situation needs something melancholy. Oh no, two-three short&punchy things so that screams 70s punk. Oh ahrg no m... *ding times up*
Pass the Dutchie. It would make the hell to surely follow bearable by comparison https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFtLONl4cNc
Things Causing Anxiety
When the cashier gives you the change by placing notes on your palm and then the coins on top... awkward shuffling around of money ensues.
Standing In The Way
If a person is there trying to make a decision or taking too long I just say excuse me please and grab what I want.
Volume Down
Charging Your Phone
Forgetting The Time
Security Sensors
I once got 'caught' by a store manager after the alarm went off, i was 12. I patiently waited right after the sirene, but nobody showed up. I got some angry faces from customers and personnel. I tested the alarm again by swinging my plastic bag trough the gates, it went off again. Nobody showed up... After one minute i started walking back to my bike, and right then someone grabbed me by the neck. He dragged me roughly to a small office where i had to empty my pockets and bag. He checked the receipt and saw that I didn't steel anything. He tested the alarm with my bag, it went off. They seem to have forgotten to remove a tag. I was 19 when i had the guts to enter that store again.
Sleep Time
Auto Pilot
That’s a bit dangerous. Although I have walked to the shops and as I am almost half way home I have thought “I don’t even remember walking to the shops”. It’s like I was just suddenly placed there without knowing how I got there. Does that make sense? Kind of like I was on auto pilot.
Spending Time
Put Your Hand Up
Hot Food
Just Adult Things
My OCD makes me do weird s**t like this :( It can be really tough
Alone Time
Walking By
Catching Lies
Leaving Without Buying
Shipping Rates
Pee Run
Well Deserved Rest
Just Do Nothing
Silent Mode
Hell you think I actually want my family to know where I am at?
Childhood Things
Sleeping Pose
Checking Yourself Out
Getting A Shower
Blanket Choice
I always put one foot in and one foot out. I remember reading it controlled the temperature of your body.
Package Tracking
Random Things
Good Conversation
Under Pressure
Checking Yourself Out

Who else scrolled through the entire thing even though they had a whole ton of things to do?
I related to 38 out of 40. I'm normal average person or I should be very very worried. 🤔
When I see someone diving in a movie or so, I hold my breath until I recalibrate my mind the necessary bit. Never planned this or so, it just happened and one time I perceived it, and from then, I always did, always knew I don't have to, but still, when I'm just watching without much thinking, I do it.
There should be a club. We have a lot in common. As usual, the comments are a riot.
Life is so ironic and crazy and I think that's what makes life so interesting. Some of these things I haven't done personally, but I bet there are people who have done them.
These aren't funny, they're sad. They also prove what I always say: Everyone under 40 is neurotic in one way or the other. Everything under the sun causes anxiety, you get insulted over anything you perceive as a slight (which is pretty much everything), everyone has OCD and is a hypochondriac, which is why this Covid bluff has worked so effectively against you nits. Einstein said it years ago (paraphrasing): when the majority of people don't understand the technology they use every day and are completely reliant on it, the world will see the stupidest generation in human history. And here it is!
