Let's be honest, some people are not meant to be designers. I'm not saying that they have no talent at all, more likely a lot of their ideas just "sound better in their heads". However, luckily for us, their creations serve as great amusement.
With that in mind, I asked our fellow pandas to share a picture of the worst design fails they've seen and was happy to receive some funny images! So, scroll down for a good dose of laughter. If you have anything to add, you're more than welcome to do that!

I tried that and it still crooked. Besides, it's also dangerous when I come to put back the stick into the hole because I'm closer to the flame and/or ember then.

Yes! But better with my toothpick. I can't go without the toothpick otherwise the ash goes on the shelf and that's a real mess to pick-up.

My toothpick works really well and I've been doing that for years now. It keeps it straight and the ash goes into the bowl.

Turns out incense holders are not "universal". There are different style holders for different shaped incense. This kind of holder is for those sticks that are incense all the way through - the stick is shorter and thicker. Or you can use the cone-shaped incense with this holder. The kind of incense you have here is supposed to be stuck in sand, or use one of those long holders that will catch the ash as it burns. :) I, too, had to learn that the hard way. On the up side - I had very nice smelling "dust" on my window sill. ;)
I've never had a list addition so popular in "help" commentaries. My most popular one was a recipe.
It looks like my favorite incense would work with this. Morningstar cedarwood (they have other scents) but they're short and thin. That is a really nice holder.

It's not meant for that kind of incense....it's for the real incense that don't have a tiny stick in the center. Like Japanese rolled incense.

It is practical and now functional with just a toothpick.

The hole is too big so your stick leans too much. Just stuff play dough or clay in it, poke your stick in it to make a new hole and then let it dry!
I like cut the stick shorter idea that’s smart are used to just bend the stick a little bit to get it to where I want it

I think they do go to different rooms. The one on the left goes into the shed. The one on the right might be like a closet. Hence the one on the right has signs for a fire extinguisher

I agree a lot are not bad 'designs'. Might retitle 'fails'. However, I am curious as to which two submissions you consider design fails? My thoughts are #2 floppy flamingo drink spiller, #13 hand dryer badly planned placement, #15 direction signs badly planned and #17 backpack badly designed.

I used to have a photo of some teenage ninja turtles game with a typo, the electronic store said electorics
Wish I still had a picture of when we drove past a sign that said "Paradise" that had "closed" slapped across it. And yes, I know it made it into some book, but I did actually see it. Anyway, there are definitely some automobiles that belong on these lists, like old Fiats where you had to remove the dashboard and some other stuff to get to basic fuses, or just the rebuild of the hummer for tech bros to drive around the city.
