The Souls Of Dolls: Scary Photos Of Abandoned Children Companions
These black and white photographs were taken on secondhand trades and attic sale between 2013 and 2014. They illustrate the universe of neglected dolls with severe facial injuries, which manhandled by time and the grown up child, fail on a market stall when the silence replaced the game.
Dead toys without soul seemingly. Because when we observe attentively the look of these dolls, we are seized by their humanity. This look sends back to us disturbing feelings. These portraits tell the moods, the limits which we cross, or not, according to our strength and the power of our dream. These toys are companions, loved then abandoned by the fickle or grown up child. They wear the tracks of time and of love.
