Art is REal to us. We live in 5 different places on opposite sides of the world, yet we are always together in art. REmixing REalism is what we do.

Women. Artists. Mentors. (WAM-Artists Packing a Punch) We are on a collaborative journey made possible through the power of art and our mission is to encourage other groups to come together in a spirit of business and friendship.

We are artists, but you can form a mentoring group to suit your interests, and have as much fun as we’ve been having.

We had an art show in Charleston, SC at The Lowcountry Artists Gallery

Helen K. Beacham hosted us. Helen teaches workshops and participates in the Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Festival in South Carolina. But her heart is often in Venice, Italy where she invites students to join her to plein air paint every year.

Here’s what the press said about our show: Lowcountry Artists Gallery invites you to come explore four shades of red from the perspective of four distinct professional painters.

This collaboration includes works from Helen K. Beacham, Maria Bennett Hock, Debra Keirce & Carrie Waller. Spanning three decades in ages, and locations from South Carolina and Virginia to Tokyo, these ladies share a consuming passion. “4 Shades of Red” is a partnership between like-minded artists who believe the world is a better place when we work together to achieve our goals. Seeing the sights on our trip to Tokyo, Japan last year

It’s a trip of a lifetime when a friend asks you to stay with them at Yakota Air Force Base in Fussa, Japan. Carrie is a military spouse and is enjoying her time in Asia.

Thank you to all the men and women who serve AND to the military spouses and families who support them.

Maria got a little crazy in the hallway of a museum in Tokyo.

When she’s not hamming it up in Japan, Maria is a copy artist at The National Gallery in Washington, D.C. Maria is a military spouse and lives in the Raleigh / Durham area of North Carolina.

This year we are heading to Venice, Italy so stay tuned for more of our adventures!

Kim painted this Venice scene at Epcot in Florida. Can you tell she’s excited?!

Kim is an Orlando area resident and she enjoys privileges for plein air painting in Epcot.

March 11 to April 14, 2017 REmixing REalism at WaterWorks Art Museum in Montana!

We look forward to experiencing the power of art again at our exhibition, and we hope you are inspired to start a small mentoring group of your own. If you do, please tell us about it here or on our Facebook page We’d love to follow you too!
