When a cat kneads your bare skin with thpse talons, they will literally tear it to shreds. Blood has been drawn. The claws shall be clipped.
Why not? I had an old cat and my grandma refused to trimming her claws. So it kept growing until it was too long and hurt my cat. It looked super painful those claws got into her flesh like that. Clip the claws! But don't declaw them.
