This Teenager Got A Perfect Shot Of His 16 Dachshunds After A Friend Told Him It’s Impawsible

If you’ve ever wondered whether somewhere in the vastness of the Internet, there’s a perfect shot of 16 sausage-like good boys – we have some good news for you. We all love dachshunds as it is – and in all honesty, who wouldn’t – but this cute photo just made our hearts skip a beat. In it, you can see 16 (yes, you read that right) sausage doggies, perfectly lined up in pairs, posing as if they’re in Vogue and their rent’s due tomorrow.

More info:  Facebook

This teenager managed to get all of his 16 dachshunds posing neatly lined up in pairs

Image credits: Kennedy News and Media

The photo shows eight duos of adorable weiner dogs, who are sitting on steps in all of their gracious glory, staring dreamily right into the camera. The names of the family pets are Saffie, Daisy, Dudley, Wallie, Diamond, Ruby, Benjie, Buster, Bonnie, Ziggy, Sammy, Kizzy, Kiki, Zac, Duke, and Lottie. The duos were placed on the steps by their owner and told to ‘stay’.

He did it to prove his friend wrong, who said that it is impossible to capture such a shot

Image credits: Kennedy News and Media

Liam, the owner of the adorable dogs told the media: “My friend Catherine challenged me to try to get all of my lot sit on the stairs for a photo. She said, “I bet you can’t pull it off,” so I thought “challenge accepted”. She also promised me a box of chocolates if I managed it. She set me that task on Friday morning and 10 minutes later, I had the dog photo. It took me eight minutes in total. I timed myself.”

Liam used a tennis ball to have the doggies’ attention focused on the camera

The dog owner also posted the now-viral picture of his pets online and got many surprised reactions from people. One commented: “Wow, what a brilliant picture! How on earth did you manage it?” to which Liam replied that “just a squeaky ball works wonders.”

The owner of the dogs was very excited to only have received positive reactions from people

Image credits: Kennedy News and Media

“It’s amazing the number of positive reactions I’ve had because sometimes people are judge-y about the number of dogs I have. But I haven’t had any negative reactions to the picture at all and I’m amazed by how many people love it. It is really lovely to see,” the 19-year-old told the media.

Liam is an animal management graduate who lives in Cardiff, Wales

Image credits: Kennedy News and Media

The 19-year-old lives with his parents, 16 dachshunds, and a black Labrador named Jess. The oldest dachshund of the family is Sammy who is 8-years-old and was the first wiener-dog of the animal-loving family.

After Liam’s family got their first dachshund Sammy, the love for the breed grew

Image credits: Kennedy News and Media

Later on, came the addition of Kizzy so Sammy would have a friend. After some time passed, the family also welcomed Bonnie and Ziggy – who are both 7-years-old now.

Soon enough, the Beach family started breeding sausage dogs

Image credits: Kennedy News and Media

Liam told the media that their family always makes sure that each and every dog of theirs find the best home, but every ‘goodbye’ still hurts.

“Sometimes people are judge-y about the amount of dogs I have”

Image credits: Kennedy News and Media

Well, luckily, people on Bored Panda are surely not the kind of people who would be judgemental about responsible dog breeders. As the popular and widely overused saying goes – “the more the merrier.”

“It’s very entertaining living with all of them”

We sure can imagine the joy that 16 dachshunds and a Labrador can bring! Hopefully, this wasn’t the last time that Liam captured his lovely pooches because shots like this surely give us hope to live.

If nobody bred them, the breed would die out. There is nothing wrong with responsible, properly regulated breeding. Having said that, adopting is good.

I have nothing against people having a lot of animals - I would have over 16 dogs if I could - but I do think it is wrong to breed them. There are enough dogs in the world and in shelters that we don't need to breed more of them. These new puppies are taking homes from dogs that need them and as a result, the shelter dogs are often killed. ADOPT, DON't SHOP (or breed).

I have to admit, I'm a fan of the rough-coated doxies that are more common in Europe than the UK and the US. They're scruffy little darlings.

There is a difference between breeders and BYB (backyard breeders.) REAL breeders are the ones keeping breeds around, bettering the breed ect. They do health tests, genetic tests and so on before breeding. If breeders stopped and we only had mutts breeds would die out = dogs would go extinct.

Congratulations Liam, you have done well, it takes, patience, love, respect, and a special talent to achieve what you have, your pups photo on the stairs is excellent, I also love the breed, however, I understand that people are concerned about the shelter dogs, my cats and dogs through life all adopted, but people fall in love with a breed and want one !!!

As Eunice has said, with no breeding a particular breed would die out. Translated onto a broader scale, if all dogs were spayed/neutered and adopted out the only dogs breeding would be strays. Eventually, a feral dog would develop and with no other dogs breeding, all you'd have left would be feral dogs. Unless, of course, those were rounded up and destroyed. No more doggoes. Who wants a world with no more dogs?

16 dogs would be too much for my taste, but if you breed them, it is actually not THAT an unusual number. (Although you probably wouldN#t have 16 if you were breeding Bernese mountain dogs :-) And they seem cherful and live indoors with the family - so mcuh better than so many other breeders.

That was an amazing photo and your dogs are adorable. There is nothing wrong about having so many dogs, just as long as you can give them all the love and care they need and deserve. You are obviously doing everything right because they look so happy and healthy. Your dogs are lucky to have you. Goodluck with more wonderful photos like these.

Why has no one mentioned how the poor puppies have to share a bed?? They look completely uncomfortable! I know my dachshund likes to have as much room as possible to stretch out... right up against me for maximum heat retention!! Oh that’s right, she thinks we should always be touching. But still, maybe with a bigger bed, all 16 could snuggle together!!

They are ridiculously cute but it is not ethical to breed breeds of dog that are known to have serious health issues, the long spine and short legs is for our amusement and causes misery to the animals themselves.
