Teacher Lost Her 16 y/o Cat, So Her Students Surprised Her With 2 Rescue Kittens
Tonya Andrews’ beloved 16 y/o cat Blondie passed away right in her arms as she was on the way to the vet. The Joshua High School teacher was crushed. “I cried pretty much every period that next day at school,” she told the Huffington Post.
But her students knew exactly how to lift her spirits. They walked in her class with a bunch of flowers, homemade cupcakes…and 2 kittens! “I was smiling so big by then because I could feel the love of the class,” said Andrews. “But then, Rachel walked in holding two precious kittens.”
At first, Andrews thought that the kittens were brought just to play with. “Then she held them out to me and said they were mine…my heart can now experience happiness again.”

I went to school one day 16 years ago crying after the neighbor's dog killed my cat. The next day a student whose mom worked at the local animal shelter brought me the cutest Siamese mix kitten. Bidi is 16 years old now, a diabetes survivor, and friend to my other two rescue cats.
Oh great... Now I'm crying again! Thanks Boredpanda! (SO SWEET!!!!)
How sweet of her caring students to do his.. everybody wins and the precious kittens will soon take her mind off her lost cat.
Not to mention that unless the students filled out the adoption paperwork in her name with her signature, some places won't allow for the placement of the kittens. That would be even more heart breaking to have given her two kittens only to have them ripped away because they didn't dot their i-s and cross their t-s.
