In 2012, more than 20 percent or 45 million Americans had one or more tattoos, so it is no more a surprise to sport some body art. And that number comprises not only of people in their early twenties but also a nice percentage of older people with tattoos. So we bet that most of the 45 million people before getting their tattoo designs inked were asked to think how they would look when they're in their 60s. Well, the best answer to that would probably be that no one will look as good in their sixties that they did in their twenties, so the ink has nothing to do with that, really.

Many people balk at the idea of getting a tattoo, either fearing that the aged tattoos will look bad or that it would be unfitting for an older person. While that's a matter of personal taste, these older people with tattoos are here to show you that their tattoo ideas and execution are just as impressive now as they were back then.

If you have a photo of some cool tattoos on older people, then we'd love to have their picture here in this list! Also, don't be so amazed that these elderly badasses are sporting some really nice ink and not your typical old people tattoos.

Great. I'd like to have a sleeve but it will cost me my job. I've to wait for my retirement I guess.

I want to know all the stories of everyone on this post. Some of these (the men) might be really good looking if they shave or at least trim their facial hair. I don't mind long hair on their heads, but I really don't like facial hair.(Except for that 5 o'clock shadow look).

This man can't be 60! 40 maybe? Some men really wear grey/white hairs /facial hairs well. Damn he is looking good.

Same as #27, but she's gotten more ink since this pic was taken.
