I’ve been an artist off and on in my spare time for many years, however, lately, I’ve taken to designing t-shirts. I have dubbed these t-shirts as “paradigm-breaking,” due to ignoring design rules, combining clashing styles, and hiding imagery and messages in their designs. I’ve adopted the tagline “Be A Voiceless for the Voiceless,” as I spread messages begging for change, revolution, tolerance, and equality.

I believe I’m doing something with no visual comparison, and by creating art for the body, this not only opens up debate but spreads messages sparking knowledge and awareness. I often obfuscate the impact of these messages by pairing negative imagery with positive messages, and vice versa. This actually draws more attention to the designs, and some have been featured on TV and in film.

I’d love to say that I have a specific niche or splinter group in mind when I design, but the truth is, after thinking of a message I’d like to share, the design just comes together as a stream of conscious, made possible through digital design – drawn, manipulated and put together. My goal is to see those “yearning to breath” stop being smothered – to give the aforementioned “voice to voiceless.”

Ultimately we’re all voiceless, but maybe it’s time we all start speaking up for ourselves.

Adult’s Hood T-Shirt

“But when you fear your own faults / And you’re sick of this life / When you’re reckless of hand /And trembling the knife / And all your doors prefer locks /And your death prefers spoons / Why wouldn’t you wait one last laugh at fate / Forever’s too soon.” – Two Gallants, “Some Slender Rest”

Strikingly bizarre and memorable design pastes a face on the ritual of adulthood everyone encounters sooner or later. Every generation bemoans the complications upon taking this step into the abyss of self-reliance and responsibly – and yet, many truths will remain universal, regardless of upbringing, religion, personality, lifestyle or identity.

About the Design: Nude figure study and human skeletal arms digitally painted and antiqued in Photoshop. The bone elements were puppet warped into position to be holding the envelopes, their unique shape the result of using a dead tree photograph as a reference.

Compare And Save T-Shirt

Suggested by frequent collaborator “RighteousRiot,” this retro style t-shirt is based on a viral meme a convenience store clerk had posted online. Having written the words “Compare & Save” on a starburst sales sign, then taping it up above the store’s condom and disposable diaper shelf display.
I recreated this as a vintage advertisement, and added my own gallows humor, turning a funny idea fatalistic to force mixed reactions.

About the Design: The condoms, diapers, and bottle are all based on products from the 1900s through the 1950s. Using the colors from the vintage products, redesigning and adding texture as needed gave a balance of vintage looking and vibrancy. The fetal skeleton is a digital drawing, the pregnant women vectors are made from photographs and the entire thing is based on an advertisement for over the counter methamphetamine.

Confusing History T-Shirt

This t-shirt derives its retro look and colors from the vibrancy of vintage, multi-matinee drive-in theater advertisements. This engaging design is not only a riddle but a strong poke at the accepted fact that no country in our world teaches a complete and honest account of history.
Children are being raised on half-truths and glossed over eras of history which seems counterproductive in the “information age.” Rest assured – this will not last. It will just cause confusion and disenfranchisement is all; so relax!

About the Design: Using the color palettes from various vintage movie posters, I created a mashup of designs from different country’s flags. The attacking robots are based on a sculpture by The Reverend Mercury (©2012) digitally redrawn and painted. The victims are vectors created from photographs with skeletons puppet warped into them.

Faceless T-Shirt

Dr. Marlow: “Did you see them?”
Dr. Shoemaker: “What?”
Dr. Marlow: “Did you see something?”
Dr. Shoemaker: “No, you said ‘Did you see them?’ What have you seen?”
Dr. Marlow: “Oh, I’ve seen a lot of things…”

–“The Ugly,” 1997

The most visually disturbing t-shirt created by dissedinkclothing to date, the unsettling paintings of nightmarish victim corpses is offset by a cheery, vibrant text, and that is where the paradox of this distressing, image crumpling mental assault ends…
The dreadful hallucination behind this Stendhal Syndrome vision on cotton is an assault on the culture of victimization permeating every aspect of the news, popular culture, and vitriol spewing from the majority of humanity towards one another. Without another faceless victim, there’s no news story, television show, or group being oppressed. There would be no war inciting, power grabbing, money thirsty commanders growing in invincibility on the blood of others.

Nobody you cry for will ever be seen, heard, or remembered by others and perhaps it’s time to ask yourself – is this the world you want to inhabit, or are you too, a victim?

About the Design: All designs begin with their message, evolving organically, with the final images being derived from memories, flashes of imagery, an odd world perspective, and a skewed interpretation of reality. Two nudes and broken doll heads were painted with an antique palette, then the bodies had several effects masks applied to give them their horrific appearance. The jelly text was added to both obfuscate the impact of the message and create a disturbingly stark contrast.

Non-Prodest T-Shirt

“The bourgeoisie, wherever it has got the upper hand, has put an end to all feudal, patriarchal, idyllic relations…” —Marx / Engels, “The Communist
Manifesto”

It’s curious how the profundity of cliches actually come into our language. Thrown away asides not only derived from known humor or famous quotes but from serious injustices, as well. A fully custom t-shirt reacting to this, this eye-catching, unique proclamation is derived from such tired truisms – troubling truths accepted by the masses. The use of Latin on this intricate and vivid mind armor is used to eschew one particular cliche, though the melting pot of styles still drives the point between the eyes. This essential, statement-making t-shirt throws up a middle finger to those in control and is a must-have for rallies, protests, musicians, artists or anybody saw or heard. It would be a nearly impossible task to find a human on earth not touched from losing a loved to diseases that more than likely, have cures just waiting to be found – if not already in existence.
Questions arise.
Questions as to why entire areas of the Amazon are either being destroyed or kept off limits when invaluable medical advances have been discovered in its vastness.
Questions such as stem cell research being outlawed and/or unfunded – when such are easily obtained from teeth and have shown near-miraculous recovery benefits.

Non-Prodest. Non-Prodest certe…

About the Design: Custom design, starting with its shapes, drawings, gradients, textures, etc. The font is public. The fairy on the bottle was inspired by the label from a vintage absinthe bottle label, while the medication bottle’s label was inspired by some antique quackery label.
The death count statistics on the bottle label are World Health Organization counts from 2018.

Underneath It All T-Shirt

“Come senators, congressmen / Please heed the call / Don’t stand in the doorway / Don’t block up the hall / For he that gets hurt / Will be he who has stalled” – Bob Dylan, “The Times They
Are A-Changing'”

This paradigm-breaking t-shirt was inspired by the nightmarish state of the world, and the disarray piling horrible imagery into the dreamscape each night. Negative imagery combined with a positive message causes an eyebrow-raising statement. Vintage looking, yet uniquely fresh, this macabre proclamation is for anyone finished seeing their human rights evaporate.
This striking, shocking t-shirt is backlash over the current 14 states taking steps to control a woman’s body, a trend that will continue and metamorphose until there is nothing but disposable meat puppets left. In an age of law, psychiatry, self-help and those rising up, humankind is going to realize that there several outlets that help eliminate fear. Absolute must armor for rallies, protests, the brave, the tired, the poor and the masses now huddling in fear of those elected. This disturbing, yet poetic mind armor puts the governments of the world choosing to rule with fear, religious zealotry and personal agendas on notice.

…start a revolution…

Or at least a riot…

About the Design: An anatomical and nude model were fused together in Photoshop, creating the drawing and painting reference for the macabre painting serving as the negative imagery. The positive, albeit rabble-rousing text, is simply custom fonts, and effects, as are the bondage elements and metallic rods.
